Kelly Hart is such a humble, nice, and chill dude. Definitely one of the realist skaters of all time like Mike Mo. I remember getting to meet him at an E’S signing, and they came to skate our local skatepark after. He, and some other pros (I forgot who else) took a picture with my homies.

I really, really wish some shit in life didn’t happen to people.

He took this amazingly well. What a champ !

i remember specifically when this had happened… mike mo was always my bestfriends favorite skater. hearing that he got hurt and then that he won’t ever be at the level he once was, was absolutely heartbreaking. the part where he jokes about “[dying from the flight] would have been easier that way” i 100% feel him.. i’m sure he was contemplating, skateboarding was his entire life. can’t even imagine what that situation would feel like to be in…

Great interview, a bit frustrating because they seem to interrupt Mike’s thoughts a lot. I wanted to hear what he had to say multiple times but they changed the course of the topic

facts, i shattered my elbow and it immediately went numb and i tugged on it to try to put it back.. right after that is when the wave of immense pain came on lol

I know what he's saying, I broke my pelvis and was telling people that I was ok but it feels like my leg's on backwards.once the shock wore of it was brutal but instead of an ambulance they drove me in a old Mazda for a hour to the nearest hospital. Get well bud.

I hated hearing about Mo getting F-ed up. He was one of my favorites ever. At least we have a lot of video from back in the day. Mike Mo is one of the best to do it.

lol me too. Had many injuries while skating but 2 months ago I tore my meniscus and In am still recovering no surgery for now. I seriously think about quiting. I AM 28 with a small Child need to také care of my family And practice those chords :D

Its amazing Mike can still skate at a good level these days, i tore my mcl/ligament in my left knee about 4 years ago and from that alone skating has never been the same, it feels so awkward and slightly painful just doing simple flip tricks like a kickflip, 360 flip etc and i could never imagine even trying to ollie like a 10 stair as any real pressure on my left leg causes it to just give out due to such a sharp pain in my knee due to the torn ligament, in comparison Mike absolutely fcked up his knee and tore like every ligament, crazy he can even skate as well as he still does

mike mo is such a legend. i can't imagine what its like to be in his position now. this dude breathed skateboarding, but I hope he has some peace knowing that he left a massive mark on skateboarding that some pros never achieve with a full career.

Basic safety for any non car stay in the vehicle if its about to roll or tip over, don't try to exit or stick a limb out or this will happen

Low heart rate would not result from a bleed. If you bleed, you're blood pressure start to decrease. Blood pressure is cardiac output X vascular resistance. Cardiac output is stroke volume (amount of blood pushed out of heart in one beat) X heart rate. So if blood pressure decreases, pulse has to increase to help maintain desirable blood pressure range. He may have had a low resting heart rate from being an elite athlete at the time. Morphine can also decrease heart rate.

I broke my upper shin and it hurt like a mother. Almost like hitting your tailbone.

my boyfriend just broke his wrist like a clean snap and he said he didn’t feel anything either he said yeah, i knew something was wrong then i looked down and was like THATS NOT FKN RIGHT lol but after like 10m the pain kicked in because the adrenaline wore off

Only reason i quit is because they only pay $8 an hour The camp is literally a mile up the street from my parents house, ill take a pic next time im there if you want

When I was 13 a couple of the older dudes from my neighborhood took me out dirt biking. They wrecked into each other and the one guy’s leg was just like that. He was also in a coma for about a month. I lost my interest in motocross after that.
