Mike Love always inspires me, and especially many in the 808 scene. Like he said, there's not much nightlife in the islands, aside from every first Friday of the month in downtown Honolulu. Sometimes I hear him playing at O'Tooles at night, since I live right upstairs. His performances are always mind-blowing. You can really get drawn into this sort of spiritual "stand still" because he puts so much passion into each song. I mean look at all that equipment. You can't deny the dude is obviously one of a kind.

just finished listening to the interview. the culture sounds very similar to where I live. One thing I find, when you leave the hustle of the city life, you find time to relax and play music with friends and surf etc, instead of chasing the dollar to survive in the cities. love it

Uh! maybe but I went to see Mike Love at a BBQ joint in Lexington, KY. Best live show ever IMO. So no I dont think so. Mike isnt one of those judgy vegans who hates people for their mistakes. Yes it is about awareness but also about tolerance. He is out there giving to those who need not just preaching to other vegans, that would be like preaching to the choir. Spreading veganism in the environment that needs it most. Its ironically funny and tells me he maintains a level of humor and playfulness. Anyway I digress.
