You are 100% correct. His integrity is second to none. He could’ve easily given Adam James and his dad a pass, but that’s not how Coach Leach operates. He is straight, consistent and honest. So glad we’ve got him at WSU. He has completely changed the culture of football in our program.

History is all with Leach on this one. Statement by Leach back in the day: "My biggest regret was not cutting Adam James. I kept hoping he'd develop a work ethic. He had two position coaches, first Dana Holgorsen, then Lincoln Riley. He didn't get along with either one." Geee....wonder if those position coaches knew what they were doing? RIP Coach

Leach is a tremendous coach. He has shown the ability to recruit 3*’s and coach them to play like 5*’s. The James family did not use good judgement in the steps they took. Meddling by the James family and using the ESPN position as a leverage point was a poor choice. Not integrity I expect. Best wishes Coach Leach.

What most people don’t realize is that ESPN aired this interview in the middle of the night when nobody was watching. This was the first time that Mike Leach had any voice in the matter. Everything before that was Craig James and the PR firm he hired: Spaeth Communications, Texas Tech, and the ESPN announcers constantly slandering him on national TV and during the 2009 Alamo Bowl with fake and fabricated news. Where are these cast of characters now? Mike Leach is coaching in the SEC West and Craig James cannot get another job in broadcasting if he tried. Karma always wins in the end.

All one has to do is look at the parties involved; ie. Tech regents, boosters and their business and personal connections and associstions with the University of Texas (most were UT alumni, having gotten their advanced degrees there) and one clearly sees who was behind the railroad job. Mike had no problem calling a spade a spade and telling the primadonna UT where to get off. He brought attention to their biased alumni officiated games and was a consistant thorn in their side. Knocked them out of the national championship game in 08 and would have done it in 05 if biased officiating hadn't changed the outcome in the second half. He was becoming too popular...cover of New Yorker Magazine, 60 miniutes, SI article that stated TT had become the American football fans second favorite team. Anywhere in the country if one sported TT gear someone would flash the Guns Up gesture back. The 08 TT-UT game is still one of the most watched sporting events in history; over 9 million households tuned into watch that game and 99% were not UT fans which certainly was putting a strain on UT and their negotiations with ESPN on the LHN. Tech had one of its best recruiting classes in history coming in '10. Tommy Tubberville was fired in '08 and not one single school with an open coaching position offered the bum a job in '09. TT gives him the job without even doing a coach search after firing Mike. What is interesting about that whole charade is that between the 08 and 09 seasons Tommy Tubberville and Mac Brown went on a USO trip together which I believe was to get Pine Box Tommy on board and guarantee him a lucrative job position in exchange for dismantling the TT football program. Tubberville stayed at Tech for three years and literally buried the program before skipping out of town...now he's a congressmen. Interesting also that Craig James just all the sudden decided to resign his ESPN position and run for congress in Texas at this time..I believe he was used because of his son being on the TT team and his obvious lack of character (SMU) He was lied to and used to help railroad one of the most successful coaches in history out of the conference because he was a threat to the blue blood flagship. This seems far fetched and silly until you understand just how arrogant UT and their boosters are. One booster had given 50 million to the school and then later demanded the university remove his name from the building that was built with that money because the football program was in a slump and hadn't won a nat'l championship in years.....that is the arrogance of the University of Texas. Karma is a B**** though as UT sports hasn't done a damn thing since Leach was railroaded. Here's hoping the Pirates Curse stays on them.

If yer referring to the scUm.... he has integrity, doesn’t let players feel entitled even if theyre really good and probably doesn’t like criminal wanna be street thUgs that like to get arrested. Or shit in their girlfriends closets. The scUm will NEVER be the same it once was when teams feared them and they were respected. These dUmb jack holes 1. Cant speak proper English, 2. Will end up as statistics in jail or in the morgue and 3. Represent the dregs of society. So no.... Mike Leach basically doesn’t want to represent an overrated power 5 that will always be going nowhere.

20 ish years ago he drowned a homeless bum in a pond off campus. He didn’t drown drown him he just kept submerging him under water and bringing him up sporadically for several minutes. Then he instructed students to jump up and down on the bums stomach. As far as a coach he’s great. And he never even played the game himself which is remarkable. But a lot of people view hobos or homeless bums equally to people. And if you look at it with that perspective I could see how it would be off putting to some people.

Leach is a legend, and a guy I respect a lot, but he was wrong here. He instructed an assistant to lock James in a dark room, you just can't do that...
