Mike Graham savages Tony Blair's immigration policy'

The number of people living in England and Wales who were born outside the UK has risen to 10 million, driven by a huge increase in Romanians, new census data has shown.
Figures released on Wednesday by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) showed a 576% rise in residents who were born in Romania - from 80,000 in 2011 to 539,000 in 2021.
According to the data, the number of usual residents of England and Wales born outside the UK had risen by 2.5 million since 2011.
It means out of a population of 59.6 million in England and Wales, about one in six people were born outside of the UK.
The so-called “natural” population increase - the number of deaths minus the number of births - accounted for 42.5% of the rise.

As such, the vast majority kept their mouths shut and now the damage has been done and cannot be undone. I can see in my lifetime, this country will be carved up into mini etho states because let's be brutaly honest here. What will the authorities do if a 2+ million moslems rise up and claim a large city or county as being their own Islamic state. I'll tell you what the so called authorities will do. They will bend over even further and take it.

Every working man on just one wage could afford to buy or rent a house before Blair got into power.. Before Blair there were council homes for our children to live in.. Tony Blair was devastating for the working man.. When his government boasted about getting interest rates under control the wealthy descended on housing like a pack of wolves to replace the interest they lost from the banks and have ever since been holding the entire country to ransom.. They have driven up the cost of housing to an unaffordable level.. They have driven up wages and the cost of manufacturing.. Blair made it a thousand times worse by opening our border to the world.. He is the most damaging Prime Minister in British history..

From a time when you could get a job and a house and have some money in your pocket for nights out and holidays, not have to wait in a queue for the doctor, get a hospital appointment and a place in your choice of school for your children. When everyone knew each other in your street and town and you could trust them. When it was relatively safe to go out at night, or in the day for that matter. Can we do that now!!! I am proud of my country and love it here. If nothing is done to stop immigration then we are lost. Our culture is lost, our way of life is lost and our children's future is lost. It is NOT racism.

@@PibrochPonder Yes the Australian aborigines here don't welcome foreigners coming to their land but they are never called racist. Yes quite natural to look after your own kind first starting with your family. We have this BS here now at the beginning of all major sporting events and the like - speeches by politicians even - of acknowledging the indigenous peoples. Absolutely no reason the same shouldn't apply in Britain for the British people. It seems the Indians in UK (long-term beneficiaries of British hospitality) might be seeing the urgency of the open borders problem and might be more assertive than the native English about doing something about it. Not sure about Sunak, but a guy on GB News - looked of Indian extraction - was up in arms about it while his woke no-balls English counterpart looked horrified at the thought of any Albanian boat being turned back. I assume Braverman is Indian. Here in Australia we had strong leaders in Howard and Abbott who solved the boats crisis. The subsequent Labor governments then do what they always do and run with the Liberal policies without having the fortitude to introduce them themselves.

When my British and Ukrainian ancestors immigrated to Canada 130 years ago, people settled in groups by country of origin. But, this in part was because of the land they were assigned by the Canadian government. There was no social safety net back then. Settlers worked together as a community to break the land and help one another survive. My husband came to Canada from Romania 30 years ago. He had to pay $35,000 to enter and be sponsored by family already here - still no social safety net. Now people flood through our borders illegally and are fully funded with tax dollars. Our hospitals, schools and basic infrastructure cannot keep up.
