Me and my brother Troy jamming at a BBQ. We played ourselves into tears cause this is the song he wants played at his funeral. We had never played it. It just happened and we both just played teary eyed thinking the same thoughts not uttering a word.
Update: 7/30/2020 Sadly last week my big bro passed away. He is missed by many. He was a good dude. Unfortunately during this Covid shutdown the family was not able to assemble and have a grand send off like he and i had imagined. Then I had an unmistakable sudden great joy in my spirit not long after his passing and a knowing that Troy is well and with our Heavenly Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. So all my sadness quickly left. I'm motivated to get some good work done until its my time to pass over also.
The Mike Edwards Project is coming

I come back to this video every few months just to listen and enjoy. This song has always been able to pull that emotion from deep inside me and this version is no different, I can try not to, but I can't help but tear up or even smile sometimes, and along with the amazing guitar work it keeps bringing me back. I clicked on this video again tonight just like the countless times I have in the past to enjoy it and saw the update about your brother in the description and was heartbroken. I'm truly sorry about the loss of your brother and just wanted you to know that there's still people like me, strangers all over the world that have been given the joy of listening in on a short musical moment between the two of you and I appreciate that gift. I hate that there wasn't a possibility of the sendoff he imagined, but I'll be listening to this video again and again with his memory in mind. I didn't know him personally but I can only imagine he would have been a friend. Rest in Peace Troy, Thank you for this video and keep up your good work!

Deepest condolences. I grew up listening to this song. WMMS in Cleveland played it every Saturday night at 1130. So glad you both are saved. He's enjoying music and worship far greater than we can imagine.

You're a "guitar slinger" ....and you shoot faster than....us all! Emotion, the only word. Eddie Hazel would've been proud. Best cover I've seen and heard. Hope your healing goes well. Love listening to this tune and I'm keeping forward to hear more from you soon. Best of luck to you and your healing of that special thumb, on that amazing hand. You're a guitar slinger........
