Music has always had that effect on me, I like to think I'm a decent vocalist but there is just some songs my brain won't let me sing without getting teared up and emotional. It's a strong feeling and I love it.

A better rendition has never been played. This is the best hands down

Peter DeWitt it’s actually mostly considered as a myth. Also, the story is that he told him to imagine somebody told him his mom was dead, and then told she actually wasn’t, or something like that. Anyways, hands down one of the most awesome track in music history.

just wanted to say this is probably my fifth time watching the vid. i can't recall for the life of me how i found this, but this song got me listening to funkadelic and this is one of my favorite moments of music i've ever seen, live or on video. hope y'all are both doing great and still jamming together.

I come back to this video every few months just to listen and enjoy. This song has always been able to pull that emotion from deep inside me and this version is no different, I can try not to, but I can't help but tear up or even smile sometimes, and along with the amazing guitar work it keeps bringing me back. I clicked on this video again tonight just like the countless times I have in the past to enjoy it and saw the update about your brother in the description and was heartbroken. I'm truly sorry about the loss of your brother and just wanted you to know that there's still people like me, strangers all over the world that have been given the joy of listening in on a short musical moment between the two of you and I appreciate that gift. I hate that there wasn't a possibility of the sendoff he imagined, but I'll be listening to this video again and again with his memory in mind.
