Mike Close-"Binocular Astronomy"

This talk explores the use of binoculars to observe the stars, planets and other objects in the night sky and will discuss: why binoculars are a great tool for beginning and experienced observers, how to choose and use binoculars for astronomy, and concludes with a tour of objects in the fall sky which can be
observed with binoculars.
Mike has a bachelors from Penn State University a masters from Ferris State and is currently finishing an associates degree in Photography at Mott Community College. After 30 years as an IT manager supporting the auto industry, Mike retired and currently works (very) part time at Longway Planetarium. Mike is an avid amateur astronomer and astrophotographer.

    This was a really great talk by Mr. Fiske from CloudyNights forum. I love his takes there and he was excellent here as well. As the other commenter said, if the audio was a better, this would have been a brilliant talk. Thanks guys :)

    At 121:00 for the extra wide angle binoculars they are really good at being able to show whole constellations in light polluted skies and really helps in locating stars to start star hopping.

    You guys need to work on your audio. Breathing into the mic and then later constant static that drops out. People will but up with bad video over bad audio.
