EXCELLENT INTERVIEW MIKE ! Bobby will be missed in words I can't even begin to express ! The personality of drivers like Bobby, are without question what made the sport what it is today ! Hands down ! These guys had rock hard raw talent ! They drove these cars by the seat of their pants ! Bobby is a 100% hardcore racer straight up, no compromises hardcore badass racers ! We are starting to lose the hardest of the hard, real talent ! I can't begin to start to name these men's names ! Personalities, and shear talent ! Wrapped up into a few pieces of raw Aluminum, and by the seat of your pants Red, White and Blue racecars ! Trying ideas that they only hoped would work ! Driver's who needed a wheelbarrow to bring their nerve to the track ! Nothing more than a helmet bag, driver's suit, and a car owner who was willing to give them a shot ! Bobby Unser ! Absolutely one of the ALL TIME GREATS to EVER SIT IN A RACECAR ! HE WILL BE FOREVER REMEMBERED !

The great comments from auto racing fans like this are best! Bobby was among my all-time favorites in this sport. Among my top five all-time favorites in Indy car was Bobby Unser's 1975 "Jorgensen Steel Special " #48 of Dan Gurney's All-American Eagles. What a beauty of a car, color and design. We will miss the great Bobby Unser.

What a wonderful man. So “old school “ yet and innovator. And so friendly and happy. RIP

The impromptu get-together Bobby mentioned was the first step in mending fences with Mario Andretti. The two patched things up and became friends again.

Thankfully, Mario and Bobby did bury the hatchet eventually, but not quite yet during this interview.
