Randle is, funny enough, a very solid fit. A bunch of our starters can create shots sure but they love spotting up, and no one finds them better than Randle out of the post. He just needs to learn how to play off the ball and we got us a dangerous team. AND we kept OG dude I love this front office

Look, lots of people gonna say the Knicks were robbed, but , I disagree. There's more to winning than just superstars. Mikal is a really good 2-way role player that could give u 20 points on any given night. Chemistry is also a huge role in winning and mikal is just that for the Knicks. Yes, the nets did get a lot of first round picks, but, a lot of picks don't even turn out to be good. We know mikal is good. It's honestly to me a win win. Both teams got good deals. No one got robbed.

I think your take that Randle doesn’t fit with this team and is as good as gone is one of your worst. The fit is great, as he will always be surrounded by 3+ 40% shooters allowing him to have an individual matchup or an easy kick out. With all of the perimeter defenders now all he has to focus on is defense. Plus he makes everyone’s job, from Brunson getting shots to Hart getting rebounds so much easier. Trading him in this market is a bad idea too. It’s hard to upgrade on a top 30 player in the NBA, especially when it needs to be positionally accurate (Knicks couldn’t afford to move him for anything but a PF/C due to how the rest of their roster is filled out). When you look at the players at those positions who are truly dominant on the interior (Giannis, AD, Embiid, Jokic and that’s about it) none of them are available. For a team in a win now position, it is stupid to trade a 2 time all NBA player who fits well for anything but an improvement, and that simply isn’t available. Replenishing assets makes no sense. Also, the closest we were to seeing this team with Randle fully together was January of last season, and look at how dominant we were. Adding an extremely versatile wing like Mikal Bridges doesn’t change how that team looks.

Bridges is a perfect fit and solves their problem in the playoffs health issues if the knicks can make more moves than they could possibly take down the celtics

Hot take don’t trade Randle all star level play past two years, top rim finisher on the team, Contract is only like 35 mil not bad for a contract of an all star, and who are they gonna get that’s better, screw how good is he in the playoffs they are so deep it doesn’t mattet

I actually believe the rockets will try to flip Fred VanVleet and the picks for Booker. Amen is good enough at PG and Book at shooting guard and Jalen Green at the 3 would be an incredible scoring duo alongside Sengun

All of the first round picks are projected to be lower first round picks. Bridges is really an outstanding all around player. I'd rather have one outstanding player to go with our current team, than have 5 average players come in over several seasons. This is a good trade for the Knicks. OG is back. Now we need to find someone he can help replace Isaiah Hartenstein. 💙 🧡 ... To God be the Glory‼️

I feel like this trade can get done without all of those picks, I don’t see why they threw their capital out of the window when they’re still aiming to make another splash for a BIGGER name sometime this off-season (apparently). It works out because now they’re a scary team offensively and defensively, even more than before, but I just can’t imagine a world where that’s really necessary. Two to three seems acceptable to me, but five and multiple swaps is insane to acquire somebody who will definitely fit in more as a role player/ defensive option behind Jalen and OG.

The Kevin Durant thing is purely speculation. They basically traded 2 first round picks for 4 first round picks that will convey later. So instead of having to add another lottery pick next year and be way too crowded with young talent they can kick the decision down the road. I see the move as an endorsement of the current young core. I hope they still draft reed Sheppard though. (Also an underrated aspect of this trade is they gave back the nets only half there picks back they still own there 2027 unprotected first so it basically forces the nets to accelerate a 2 year rebuild to make sure there not bad in 2027)

I would count this as a three team deal and grade it accordingly. I don't think the Nets actually make this trade unless they get those pick back from Houston. Getting those picks/rights back from Houston for the next 2 years lets them actually tank for a couple years to rebuild and retool. He’s literally their franchise player and you could argue Jalen green still has a chance but I doubt it so I say if the suns and rockets were to make a trade then the rockets trade 2 starters (NOT SENGUN) and maybe a few picks and the suns trade Kd (maybe some other stuff)

Nets, in my opinion, won this. They get like 4 unprotected picks which are top picks. The Nets got back what the Celtics did to them to get Tatum and Brown. If they secure OG on that squad, they will be tough, but if they don't, I feel they will be a little better, but they need OG to make this a legit contender, and Randle, I’m not sure if he will make them better or worse; they played better last season without him. They need to keep their center, but he will get a payday for sure.

Well OG just resigned back. Still don't think this will be enough to win a title but who knows.

@@CSportz-p5r I actually disagree, as bad as he can be he takes a lot of pressure off the rotation and provides a level of scoring nobody else does, being versatile is what is gonna win the Knicks a chip and Randle being the only midrange finisher on the team adds another level of versatility to the offense plus realistically he isn’t getting more than 15 shots in the playoffs with this depth it’s gonna be more like whoever is the most open/ best matchup is gonna take the shot.
