Mikael Åkerfeldt on PRS Guitars - PRS All Access with Opeth
Mikael has been playing guitar since he was in third grade (an acoustic guitar that he painted knobs on, dreaming of playing an electric ax). Though he hadn't heard of PRS when he started playing, eventually he recommended PRS to a friend looking to buy a guitar. Mikael later bought that very guitar from his friend, and that started him on the path to becoming a PRS signature artist.

Does anyone else find the way Mendez is staring at Michael the whole video a little amusing?
I'm becoming a fan of the Mikael as an actual human being. He seems very humble and laid back and one that is not too high and mighty on himself. He just likes to play great music and seems to want to genuinely want to talk about it. Cheers!

I got the Fredrik Akesson PRS and I love it! I was thinking about getting Mikael's PRS, but then I saw Fredrik's and instantly knew that it was the one I wanted. It inspires me to pick it up and practice

Mikael is the einstein of music. It's not that you need skill or technicality to write songs like him..you need fucking brains. That said, I would like to add that Steve Harris is the newton of music! Can't wait to see opeth on feb 5th.
