Miguel Cotto looks like he just lift a heavy feeling from his soul. It was a great fight. The one who should have won the last time , he did last night.

Let us not forget. When they first met Cotto was seemingly unstoppable and a knock out artist. He got destroyed by Margarito and Cotto took a knee disgracing himself. Let us remember he was winning the fight last time but thought he could go toe to toe. This time he hung on for dear life and was headlocking. This was not revenge nor a vindication. Cotto was protected by the doctors and was awarded a TKO and did not earn a KO. Look at his face. it looks like he hit a windshield.

His face looked the same as the first fight. It seem that if the doctors wouldn’t of stopped it the margarito was going to go for the kill.

I loved it when cotto won his revenge, but i do believe that margarito was about to turn the fight around if it wasnt for the stoppage, watch the fight carefuly cotto was beginning to look tired in the mid 9th round

But it was a setup. Those "doctors" were there in case a replay of the fight was about to occur, which it obviously was.

Mad respect for cotto. He outboxed Margarito and hurt him. He also actually took the time to learn English. Props!

No it's not. The first fight is bloodied Cotto's face because of loaded plaster on Margarito's hand and the second fight is just minor bruises on Cotto's face.

@@blackhat3945 much less than in the first fight. Got to admit. Nobody was arguing about margaritas ability successfully hit, it was the damage that he dealt. Cotto can take hits, he's not a defensive fighter.

So proud of Cotto for getting his revenge. He schooled Margarito, who showed none of the punching power or energy he had in the late rounds of the first fight.

I don't think margarito had a loaded gloves..I think Cotto fought more intelligent I this fight Cotto made a mistake in the first to fight inside the pocket with margarito..even Pacquiao said that margarito hit harder

He quit in the first fight when Miguel was undefeated and margarito was in his prime. This is years later margarito had almost 50 fights and coming off two beating to Mosley and paquaio and had a crushed orbital in the latter. Cotto said margarito was stupid for fighting like that he he puts his health and safety first. Levels to being a warrior in the sport

He said he hits like a girl but that same person put you in retirement 🤣🤣🤣

For me, the main difference was that he set his feet when punching, instead of punching whilst moving backwards. And after he landed his shots he either tied Margarito up or turned his man whilst keeping a high guard, whereas in the last fight he landed a combo and backed away with his hands low. Oh, and the hand wraps! ha

Throughout Margarito's career... his best friend has been PLASTER! Once the parted ways, Margarito has never been the same...

He's also one of my favorite fighters of this generation and I'm not even Mexican. He's just a great champion.

Un gran triunfo claro para cotto, creo que debe pelear con Canelo y Chavez romperle la cara a los dos y retirarse. En mi opinion no debe pelear Floyd porque su rapidez y tecnica es superior pero estoy seguro que le gana a los dos mejicanos que mencione. felicidades Cotto por una gran victoria y a Margarito por su esfuerzo y disposicion para darle la revancha a Cotto. Fue una gran pelea.

To be honest margarito came with same game plan as he did for the first fight the ONLY difference was the pacquio affects that left on margarito's eye that played the changing factor that caused the fight to finish early as magarito defiantly had a chance in the rematch as cotto was running out of gas towards the last fight but cotto to came more prepared and condition .. My opinion and I am a cotto fan but more of a realest...

I just got this feeling that Cotto will shock the world on May 5th. I can FEEL IT!

In the last fight, Cotto ran out of gas around the 7th round. Thats when Margarito boxed it out. Margarito has great stamina and a chin of steel. I do believe he could have lasted the last couple of rounds, but I dont think he would have won. You can say Cotto was running, but I think he was boxing smart. Keeping Margarito in circles so he cant corner him but throwing nice shots in there. Though he was tired, he would have won. Even with the last couple of rounds. I'm happy with the fight.

Good win for cotto.Stood his ground from time to time, and boxed beautifully.My only thing i didn't like, was that he still has the habit of leaning forward and taking unnecessary punches.He should work on stamina and clinching also.There's rumors saying he might fight chavez next.Though i wouldn't mind seeing it, i would prefer canelo.I think it would be more of an entertaining fight.
