Migration of the Larks | Symphony Orchestra

Hellooooo everyone we are soooo back with another fantastic piece. Not many life updates this time since it's been so soon. My school has an astrobiology lab which is really really cool but I can't think of things to put on my cover letter than "hi i play stellaris let me work for you", other than that I think I need to stick to what I actually want which would be something infectious disease/immunology related considering I would really like to get on one lab and stay on it for the next 3 years
I was going to go with a loud ending for this piece, the whole ABA style with the main theme being repeated but really felt the need to switch it up and do a quiet ending so I deleted like 40 measures and here we are. Had a whole crisis early on about how I only ever wrote chords for loud brass parts so my KZread history on June 1st and 2nd are a lot of composition videos but the only conclusion I reached was that most composers are pianists by trade and know jack shit (excuse my French) about writing for brass (like one guy spent like 10 mins explaining how the 4 horn structure works with two high horns and two low horns?? thats elementary stuff to me like the first thing a conductor will ask you as a french horn player is if you perfer high notes or low notes???) In any case I ignore this when I write screamer unison French horn parts but maybe I'm just coping with the fact I never learned how to play piano. Also noticed that I'm using English Horn a lot, been trying not to default to flute when writing for woodwinds (but it'll still be my favorite instrument)
