Most social services in the USA are more apt to leave a child in an less than ideal situation regardless if the child is rich or poor. USA is NOT a social welfare state, like Sweden, where high social compliance is required by society. Besides that most of these demonstrations in Sweden are supported and funded by Islamists because they want Sharia(h) (i.e. Islamic law) established in Sweden. They want a state within a state.

The problem is its hard, going to court is hard enough for natives but not knowing the language, not knowing where to go, The right thing is to take them to court to take the child not bring the child back. Because if youre new to a country, you wouldnt know what to do, plus taking them just by reports is incorrect, They should farther investigate, question the parents and the child alone, then you would take the child. The woman at 0:35 says “there’s no greater injustice than taking a child from their mother” In Sweden we believe that there is no greater injustice than letting a child suffer. Before a child is placed in foster care the parents will have had many many months or even several years to change their behavior to one that is compatible with Swedish law. If you go to a country, any country, you are bound to follow that countries laws. Since I’ve seen a lot of these cases up close I can tell you that these kids come from very very dysfunctional homes that are often violent.

It’s really really hard to lose care of your children in Sweden. The goal for social services is always to let the parent keep custody. There’s no substitute for a child’s natural parents. Our government knows this. Yet, we as a people, have chosen to have laws that protect children from violent and abusive parents.

@@lilimatahari4445 No 1. Maybe it has to do what is considered abusive. You don’t have to be physically hurting the child to be considered unfit. In fact you don’t have to be abusive to be considered unfit to be a parent. For instance, if a parent is suicidal that parent is considered unfit. No 2. The problem here is that all social services or medical services have a legal secrecy obligation. So people can say whatever they want but the social services can never comment it. So to be super clear, you can say whatever you want about the social services and their only response can only be “We will not comment on this case. All we do is follow the law.” It’s also worth noting that for social services to even be ware of a situation regarding a child. Someone has had to have reported it. And one report will not do to make social services launch an investigation. There has to be at least 3 independent (from each other) reports like that.

Also taking away a child isn't always violence. Sometimes its necessary to take a child away if the parents are abusing or neglecting. but based on this its clearly overboard because its all based on assumptions that their parents might be terrorists, when in reality they moved to Sweden to get away from the war in their home countries.

As someone who was born in an Afghan family myself, I would like to ask people here why they are angry at Sweden. Let me explain why I am curious. 1.Sweden gives every family extra money through social benefits to provide for their children. 2.Sweden is not taking children away from all Muslim families, but only from those who are alleged to have either been abusive or not taken care of their children, or from parents who use the money for themselves and not for the children. 3. Sweden derives no short-term benefit from this measure. The children's cases cost money, many lawyers have to be paid, they have to house the children, care for them, pay extra social workers and also the bad reputation they get.... From what I am seeing they do this to prevent children from being abused. Unfortunately, child abuse is "normal" in our countries, which is why many cry out because they do the same to their own children what often causes a lifetime of trauma. Here in Germany, people want the same standard of protection as in Sweden, but it is too expensive. Sadly in muslim countries, child abuse is still widespread. If the Swedish government does this, after carefully examining the cases, I would like to thank them for caring.

Why dont they educate the parents first? There is obviously a cultural difference on whats okej, so instead of taking the children, and placing them in situations and places which has shown to be unsafe for the children very often, why not educate and make it obligatory for them to attend these classes and check up on them? Im sorry but as a child of immigrant parents, i rather get slapped for being home late, then ending up in different foster homes fearing i might be raped by some stranger which has been the case way too often.

How do you know they weren't warned beforehand? I am 99% sure that they have been given many warnings and chances to behave better. As I said before, this measure only costs the Swedish state money and reputation. The Swedish state is doing this because it knows how important the first years of childhood are, and because it wants to protect children who cannot defend themselves from abusive, selfish parents. Their parents are adults. They can't expect society to treat them like children. They should educate themselves.
