This video begs the question why buy sound fitted steam locos when the compressed sound they give out is a world away from what they really sounded like this? You and Neville Grove show this expertly with perfect synching. Scenery, weathering and attention to detail is truly mesmerising. Manufactures should let you use their new releases free to demo them. Well done keep it up.

Aaah😅 the delightful english countryside layout is here again to make our day. Lovely introductory stills, the guys on the barge, is new, or was it there😊 i really didnt see that before, lol also a high up angle downwrds on train as it moves away into tunnel. The isolated lady at Ponden must have been peeved off, she iswondering if she missed her train to home/ work?😂 seeing the goods consist rumbling through. Otherwise a great delivery as usual. Also loved that eerie silence in beginning just before the passenger service came into view from tunnel at Mistlewaith' signalbox

Think that Merchant Navy gave the train a bit of a rough shunt Mr Mouldy. The guard spilt his tea in the end coach! Nice vid. 😊

Agreed John - I saw a full size one derail on Wednesday at my local heritage line! A class 37 had a rescue the train whilst they craned the tender back onto the tracks!

@@MouldyRaspberry Blimey. Bet that caused some confusion.
I’ve been lucky enough to work on one of these locomotives in real life. I did an experience day at spa Valley Railway where I got to drive, fire and guard for a day. You really understand how big these engines are when you’re underneath it, coupling up to a carriage.

Ah that’s great! I’d love to do one of those.
There's a strong yearning to turn back the clock of time to a simpler and slower world with many of these model railways. The model detailing and photography here is stunning, and I don't how to describe the work you must have put in!

Looking at the weather here and comparing it to your dales reminds me that before ‘designer’ cagoules we had canvas type material that we had to treat to make them waterproof. So I think that aboard your trains, the visitors would have these old cagoules with old thermos flasks of tea so they had no need for buffet cars. Once again a great video that rattled the old grey cells. Thank you.

Creative filming and excellent use of sound. I can admit that I would like to see some of your people move from time to time. The man on the coal shovel looks like he may have a sore back, and the man on the switch building may need a bathroom break :) Thanks for your fine efforts. Ronn

Mighty Pacifics, that really was the title. Tranquil countryside with birds singing hikers walking perfect next to the canal, and then what's that noise coming from the tunnel?? I'm sure I could feel the ground shaking and the noise building, they really were monsters plying there trade. Wonderful story line yet again Lewis, the goods train was full moving its load around the countryside. Wonderful filming, brilliant sound effects, and a fantastic turn around. Thanks Lewis, Eddy xx

Very nice Lewis. I really like the rebuilt Bulleid Pacifics, but that original one you have does look the part, and I can see why people like them so much, they might grow on me I think. I admit I thought all their querky features were something brilliant for the time. Your van train Brittania looks wonderful and so well weathered, it really is a lovely model. Did I spot one of your Accurascale Siphon G vehicles now weathered in the middle of the train. Anyway, such a great pleasure to watch your layout still, even after so much time has passed, always one of the best on here. All the best and happy modelling Dave.
