Hello warriors, welcome to How to Fix Power Rangers. For this new series, I'll be making a long list of videos covering every season from Mighty Morphin, all the way to Beast Morphers. The videos will be shorter but it'll cover all existing seasons.
Let's start from the beginning: Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Season 1.
Basically, there should be Less fillers, more character driven. Conflicts should happen between members. Each episode has character building which would create an overall character arc per season.
Jason: uncertain about saving the world and feels the stress in the weight of responsibility and later learns to overcome these challenges.
Kimberly: valley girl becomes more down to earth
Billy: Zero to hero
Trini: Serious student learn to loosen up
Zack: chill jokester learn about responsibility
Tommy: started off being a rival to Jason and later learns from him which prepared him to be a good leader
One story arc I'd like to add would be the Power Ranger Weapons. I have a story to tell about the core five gaining the Power Weapons in the Ancient Armament Arc:
The rangers didn't start off with their power weapons and they fought using just blade blasters. The Rangers find them effective but not efficient.
Taming of the Zords:
Rangers need to learn how to control their zords through controlling their emotions and focus. The zords are sentient mecha with ancient creatures of souls within the mightiest and kindest of the Cretaceous Periods who fought alongside Zordon against invasive forces way before Rita’s arrival. These prehistoric beasts were pure enough to merge with the Morphin Grid energies and evolve to become a new life form, Dinozords.
The Sixth Dinozord arc:
During the Medieval period, there were Rita worshippers spreading chaos and death from discovering the numerous discarded wands of Rita. Zordon was reawakened and alongside the zords, they called for the fighting spirit of the ancient Dino Ranger. Although the cult is equal to the power of the Dino Ranger, the witches found the emerald crystal of the warrior in battle.
Later, the Dragonzord picked the teenager it deemed worthy. Thus, she followed through and captured Tommy Oliver, a powerful but unsuspecting teenager to become her evil Green Ranger, sparking the Evil Green Ranger Arc.
Also, Squatt and Baboo need to have more reason to be there. They could be the scouts
Squatt: joined Rita to have her magic to help him regain his intelligence. For some reason, he believes he used to be an intelligent professor from his home planet but lost all his memories. He is used for retcon missions directly against the rangers and enjoys drinking glow in the Dark green liquids that smells like oil.
Baboo and Finster are magical rivals fighting over each other for Rita's approval. Baboo wishes to collect all artifacts of his race, while Finster wants to resurrect his own extinct race. He could achieve that through making putties of his people and having Rita bring them to life.
Baboo focuses on potion making while Finster is a magical sculptor. For example, Baboo successfully altered Kimberly and Billy’s personality. He later created the potion that holds strong over Tommy and brainwashed him to become Rita's evil Green Ranger.
Throughout Season 1, Baboo sabotages the rangers' teamwork throughout his potions. An example would be giving Kimberly nightmares which inspired new monsters and delusions of her peace project being ruined by Puddies. His potion also gave alchemic properties for Knasty Knight's sword, ruining the Power Weapons.
Also, during Titanus's debut, Baboo spiked Tommy’s food which removes his inhibitions. This made him see himself already a leader of the Power Rangers while he was just a new member. However, he was able to work and overcome these ambitious feelings with Jason. This impressed Titanus who granted them the Thunder Slingers and joined their forces.

Mmpr was a product of its time they weren't concerned with storytelling it was just focused on being a silly kids show and selling as much toys as possible

That's true but if they had more experience adapting sentai footage at that point then this storyline could have happened.
I kind of like how you’ve basically combined the original series, the comics, and the sentai footage, all in the one reimagined series of PR. I wonder what turbo reimagined will be like.
I mean it's an early 90s saban show, so I doubt there would've been much in the way of character development or cohesive storytelling, but it is fun to consider potential alternate storylines.
This is a great retelling, giving the background stories of the zords and so on more substance, incorporating more useful material from the Sentai source. And the part where Baboo is an exile from the ancient civilization, was fabulous. The original storyline only featured him as some inferior space being sucking up to Rita. That said, in the Sentai original, he was a vampire with a craving for a little girl's blood. Maybe that could be incorporated as well?
Bold move. Personally, I hope you consider hashing ideas for a potential Super Sentai adaptation.

I think I was thinking about this subject the other day. MMPR and how when I watch it today it don't feel the same. It doesn't feel like quality TV like it did when I was a kid. One thing I thought about that would have probably made it better would have been the rangers being treated more like individuals. Having their own individual strength rather than as a team all the time. I think every monster was defeated with a team attack. That's how later teams were treated. As individuals. That and better acting probably would have made it better maybe. Better storytelling of teenage adolescence maybe. I don't know. I'd probably have to rewatch more episodes to know for sure what it needs.

How to fix Saban's Masked Rider: rip out all the "localization" and reshoot it as an adaptation of the original story. Don't try to make it Power Rangers, because Kamen Rider isn't Super Sentai.
Hey Hunter awesome job buddy I also love the power weapons arc and the Taming the Dinozords storyline was really great and the six Power crystals were a great addition and everything else was Morphinominal and I’m definitely gonna be using these ideas. Brother. Can’t wait for season two and three and onwards .

@@hunterkiller1440 i decided two add my self two power rangers and since i as green mighty morphin power ranger choose to be on Rita repulsa side since i needed permission from Rita repulsa two use the green mighty morphin power ranger power there four there would be two mighty morphin green power ranger one good aka Tommy and one on Rita repulsa side because of made A promise two Rita repulsa with mean that i needed two time travel back two 1993
This is pretty solid and would make PR a more coherent show

@@hunterkiller1440 Though ngl, the hallucinations bring more depth to Tommy because it shows that being under Rita traumatized the poor kid, and ties-in very well to his inner demons. That and the fact that Tommy isn't sure if he truly fits in.

Agreed with that statement. Plus if we want the Mighty Morphine rangers to have character development the comics are already doing that we don’t need this to be honest.

Hey there hunter I’m so excited for these new how to fixed power rangers videos and I was wondering if I could use your ideas for a project that me and my friend are working on for Power Rangers it’s Called power rangers Brand New world. Basically it’ll be my own version of mighty morphing all three seasons,Zeo and Turbo and in Space and onwards. I think there should've been more of an emphasis on saving people. Because that is their ultimate goal.
While your idea is interesting, but, instead of "how to fix Power Rangers", IMO, the title should say, "my reimagining of Power Rangers".

Good use of zyuranger plot to fix mmpr. I watched zyuranger the first time this February. I had a similar idea for a video after seeing it. I would have given baboo a small bit of trying to turn people into vampires like in zyuranger maybe that could be why he would collect artifacts for your story?

They did wore the same suit for a Continuation in season two and three for the occasion

How do you call them filler episodes when the show is basically episodic television. Each episode is self contained with a monster of the week problem

I think he meant in the overall story arc of the season which in this season was mostly about Tommy arriving, then him losing his powers the first time then having him return.

@@stephenholloway6893 When we first watch the show we never even knew about Tommy. Certainly after Mighty Morphin i expected there to be a 6th ranger for every new team Apart from the episodes you mentioned as well as the first episode. "Green with Evil parts 1 to 5(Episodes 17 to 21)" "The Green Candle parts 1 and 2(Episodes 34 and 35) and "Return of an old friend parts 1 and 2(Episodes 49 and 50). The other 50 episodes of season 1 alone are ALL episodic. Season 1 didn't even have a season finale.

@@markcruz359 I was referring to in hindsight sure neither 2 seasons of MMPR had an finalie per say but to be honest other then the formation of the team and how they got their weapons and later zords and Doomsday, the season was as I said mostly focused on Tommy and ultimately Continued to be the case into season 2.

@@stephenholloway6893 im confused was what i said originally wrong? I mean if he's going to call one episode filler he might as well call them all filler. I feel like sometimes this word "filler" is being misused. In anime filler episodes usually have no plot or they vere so far away. An example of a filler episode might be the Christmas episode in Zeo. Or an episode filled with scenes from previous episodes in the form of flashbacks.

@Mark Cruz Sure every episode had monster of the week and the flashback episodes could be considered filler but again most of the monsters the rangers fought, an one off weapon, an one off reference ect, just seemed to just use to pad the episode count of the overall season. Which ultimately I think was his point. Back then we didn't know how the series played out so we could assume every episode mattered but now, with some exceptions the pre Tommy era hardly gets talked about with very few exceptions.
I hate when content creators with no show writing experience say how they would "fix" a show or movie. And their fix is just their people pleasing fan fiction

Nobody knows how to control chaos energy. like the echidnas on Albion. And my theory is. The chaos. Energy. That the Green Ranger power possessed. Was made From the alien planet called Mobius. Chaos energy don't exist on Earth. That's exclusive to Mobius. And only a echidna to do Something like that. is Demetri. Because they're more familiar. With the chaos energy. Then Rita. And that's my theory about the whole story.
I’m sorry but I’m not a fan of this reimagining and the reason being is because the Boom Studios exist. They give the characters especially Bulk and Skull the character growth needed. Heck They aren’t even bullies in the story they are basically amateur news reporters in full support of the power rangers. Again sorry but that’s how I feel.
