Mighty Ducks: Once Upon A Time In Anaheim | E60
Like the ragtag team of misfits their franchise was based on, The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim were not an instant success when they hit the ice in 1993. But after an inaugural season full of lows, highs, and some Disney magic, things started to come together for The Mighty Ducks. Watch the full documentary Sunday 11 AM ET on ESPN.

I worked for the Ducks from 1994-97. The franchise was innovative and did things to improve the visibility of the sport. The stuffy, traditionalists of the NHL hated us, but the first ones to do things differently are always looked at negatively.

People can say what they want. The Anaheim Mighty Ducks had one of the most iconic jerseys in all of hockey! There logo was bold and had attitude and unique. The team is resposible for contributing the mass appeal of hockey in the USA. Wayne Gretzky laid the foundation for the western expansion when moving to the LA. Kings, something that made expansions for the San Jose Sharks and Anaheim, but Hockey as a whole is much bigger a lor thanks to Disney! There is an old saying; "Don't fix it if it ain't broke!" = The original Mighty Ducks logo and team colors. Bring them back and have the "D foot" as a 2nd logo/shoulder patch.
Keep the old logo and colors, but the name being Simply Anaheim Ducks is 🔥

McNall, not expecting half that amount, agreed to it before the entrees arrived.

You are wrong. Gretzky helped West Coast growth. The Might Ducks movie helped more than the Anaheim team. The NHL was experiencing big growth from Bettman in the early 90s, but about to hit stagnation following the strike and Dead Puck era which the NHL never recovered from.
Little did the guy in the Rams hat know they'd leave in two years.
