Congratulations to Miesha. I thought she did an amazing job during that fight. She got out of several difficult situations, and was really pushing Ronda hard. Miesha should be proud of that performance. She didn't do anything that she should be ashamed of. And I am a Ronda fan.

gopoleen Regardless if you feel that Tate didnt have a smart fight strategy, can you honestly say that Tate didn't stand her ground? Your missing my point, she grabbed her ovaries and went in hard regardless of the outcome! She put everything on the table! Tate still cowgirl-ed the f*** up all while knowing she was being dominated. She gave 100% until the end. What a warrior! Tate did a hell of alot better than most of us could have done against that witch..

Lust Rush I didn't even say anything about her fight strategy....(which was hilariously awful IMO) And don't get me started on her corner... "You got out of the first round!! Yay!" She gassed, got scared for her arm, knew she was being dominated, accepted the inevitability, and tapped. She showed more heart in their first fight. Also, please don't use the sentence "grabbed her ovaries".. It doesn't really work the same way and paints an unpleasant picture... :/

Meisha was amazing but she handed Rousey a victory by fighting Ronda's strengths instead of capitalizing on her weaknesses. One of the best UFC fights I have seen in quite awhile. There has to be a rematch. If anyone can beat Rousey it's Tate but she has to change her strategy.Great fight.

I love Miesha. She was my fav going into this and is my favorite WMMA fighter today, her and Cyborg. She did an amazing job in the fight. I admit this loss got to her head, but I think this will motivate her. And as a fan of Miesha, I just wanna say, GET CARAWAY THE HELL OUT OF HER CORNER!! Damn they weren't giving her the advice she needed in between rounds, hell they weren't giving shit. Miesha should have kept it standing and stayed on the outside. I just think Miesha has to learn to be patient because she is definitely a rush fighter. She has to learn how to appeal to her opponents weaknesses which she has done in the past with Cat, but in this fight she went in for takedowns when that's Ronda's speciality. I see these two meeting again in the future but not soon. Miesha is gonna probably take time off and get stronger physically because that is something she needs to do. I live Miesha though. Die hard fan right here.

It'll be a long while before she ever gets a shot at Ronda. This is 2 straight fights she's dominated and Miesha has lost both of her fights in the UFC. She's going to have to go through some of the other girls and dominate if she wants another shot. Or Ronda can get beat. Then there may be Rousey v. Tate III

mainlymusicman Let's not forget Tate's not really a striker either. Really...that first flurry out of the gate was hilarious. She's a wrestler and her striking isn't that much better than Rousey's. It was fairly even standing up and I think she came in thinking she'd have a massive advantage. She underestimated Rousey's striking coming in...or overestimated her own...

Keep your head up as high as possible. Rousey is still a badass fighter and one day she will get a loss. Maybe from you or someone else. Just think about how it went wrong with this fight and put that impulse power to work for the next fight. With lots of love to you and yours, Keep those fist closed tight. Please do not let the negative people get you down, the bird flippers can have their butt whipped as a usual thing as well.

Gotta love how all the haters talk up every fight Ronda has as "the one where she's finally gonna lose" then in the end, the champ walks out with her belt and another chump has to sulk about a loss. Miesha's own ego was her worst enemy in this fight. Seeing her go down was a thing of beauty, and this is just icing on the cake. Well earned and well deserved shame. Don't talk shit if you can't back it up.

i_Love_Boobs_emil Ronda absolutely dominated her. You'd think Meisha spending the entire 2nd round of fight 2 with her head stuck in Ronda's triangle choke/lock with Meisha sniffing Ronda's butt the whole time would have clued her in that she's completely outclassed. Meisha: High school wrestling is NOT an equalizer to an Olympic Medal-winning Judoka.

Team Tate said Rousey did not have the cardio to go past Round 1 - Debunked! Team Tate said Rousey had no stand-up - Tate was out struck by 300%! Miesha said lesson learned and would not get caught in an armbar - WRONG! You can NOT like a girl because she is "mean" or dramatic...but you cannot ignore the fact that she is a different class of athlete. If Miesha could invoke emotion, market herself and the sport and handle the pressures therein, UFC would've come calling while she was still champ. Plain & simple.

I think I know how Miesha would probably win, but it's just one thought based on what Bruce Lee once said: "Be like water my friend".I know that water goes everywhere. “Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way around or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves. Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.” ― Bruce Lee

Gary Manfredi May be, may not. Lucky for Rousey, Miesha isn't sort of like a guy I once met. So, to be fair, what I mean is like this. Right after the fight, instead of going to shake hands, a brutal push to Rousey followed by: "Bitch!, now we'll fight the real fight, and YES!, it's personal...ready or not?!, here I come". I remember this as if it were yesterday. Back in 1979 I enroll in a Tae Kwon Do class at a Martial arts training facility (they had several martial arts classes). One day, some Dude from another school and with a black belt showed up and was too stuck up and fought one of the regular guys who was a green belt (like me) and beat the green belt guy up big time. After the classes were over, we left and as we were leaving, right outside, the green belt guy was there already waiting and went straight to the guy with the black belt and said; Now the real thing. The teacher told us all to stay out and let them fight. The guy with the black belt was owned by the green belt guy, just and only because this time was personal. I think it was Mike Tyson who one day waited outside in the parking lot & beat the other fighter who won in the ring, but I'm not too sure.

I doubt you participate in any spiritual implementations of mind, body and spirit. And the only technique that you recognize, was that she "performed well" compared to her challenger. You can't name me one fighting style she use, except the ones the media wants you to know. Unlike you, I'm a analysis and supporter of MMA. You are nothing but a fan of UFC. I bet you think Weidman is better then Silva, I look at longevity and development, Ronda will not be able to compete, she is nothing but the "Royce Gracie" of Womans UFC.

You say that like it's a bad thing, news flash without Royce Gracie you don't have the awesome promotion that we have today. Do you train any of the martial arts? Olympic level judo combined with standing game control and high submission strength in a low-weight women's division isn't really "one trick pony" it's more of a "dominating pony" because unless there's a women out there with NCAA men's division 1 tier wrestling and very strong submission defense and hard bricks for hands nobody is going to contest Rousy. I highly doubt there are any MMA women fighters out there right now who can handle that level of judo technique.

Meisha and Ronda are two amazing fighters, and I have an immense respect for them both. However it is extremely frustrating to see the die hard Ronda fans talk about Meisha Tate as an incompetent fighter. Meisha gave Ronda one of her most challenging fights and deserves respect for that whether you like her or dislike her. Now for the die hard Meisha fans, they really need to learn how to stop being sore losers and say things like "All Ronda knows how to do is the arm bar" or "Ronda is classless". Do your research and learn your facts. Ronda has the title because she deserves the title, and needless to say she has an undefeated record. She still has to work and train as hard as any other fighter, if not harder to work at trapping people in an arm bar. I'd like to see the haters of her arm bar get in a fight with her and win. Also, for all the people calling Ronda classless and calling her names, pay fuller attention to her interviews where she never fails to clarify that she is holding no grudge with Meisha. Ronda is saying that an apology is in order from Meisha to her family and coaching team for the relationship between them to become open for restoration. I have nothing against the TeamRonda/TeamMeisha fans and comments... It just gets so annoying to see both sides resort to childish name calling and inaccurate arguments. Ronda is deserving of the title. Meisha is a great fighter. Both are outstanding and respectable athletes, and both hold class in their own ways. Enough said.

Tate doesn't make excuses, she shows up to her press conferences after a loss...unlike SOMEBODY. If our daughter grows up to be half the woman Miesha Tate is, we will have done our jobs and we will be extremely proud parents. Miesha Tate deserves much better than what Rousey received....in fanfare I mean. I'm a Tate fan for life.

Yeah, I think that that's the easiest way to win against her is to keep it standing. But Rousey's got her next (potentially) 2 fights lined up already. That's quite some time to work on her stand-up and Cyborg. I'm still not so sure she will agree to or be able to drop the weight. She walks around at 170+. 35+ pounds is a lot and will weaken her. And as someone pointed out, Cyborg's loss was to an armbar. People are talking like it would be a cakewalk for Cyborg, but I don't think Rousey's just going to stand there and let herself get knocked out.

Never saw the up kick you speak of and Ronda being on her back it was clear to see she was never in trouble. still dominate still in control of the 1st 2nd and 3rd round. IDK about toe to toe cause those five strikes, at most, given by tate did nothing to Ronda during the fight and after. Ronda looked the same post fight as she did when entering the cage.

I'm no Miesha Tate fan. I have said this numerous times. Having said that, Karen Bryan asked Tate if it's possible that, perhaps, she should consider rethinking who's on her training staff. I know those weren't the exact words she used, but that was the gist I got from the question. This was mentioned because of bad corner advice she got in her previous loss to Cat Zingano. And Karen isn't the only reporter to pose the question to Tate. If Tate ever hopes to get back her winning edge and be truly worthy of another title shot in the future... Let me put it this way. If I were Tate, and I suffered two losses because I did what my corner guys told me to do, I'd be looking for different trainers to help and guide my career. Also, I'm not saying she's doing it, but I'm speculating that if Tate has a habit of not thinking for herself when she needs to, then needing new trainers might not be her only problem. Again, I'm saying that as if I'm in Tate's position. Even Cat Zingano has said that she understands her trainers are there to give her advice, but that she's gonna go with her instincts in the middle of the fight and change her plans accordingly to win. If tactics like that work for Zingano, they should work for Tate as well.

Her mistake was letting her bravado get the best of her. She stated that she needed to stick to striking but when they tied up she did not want to 'run" so she stayed in. That is a stupid mentality to have. Sticking and moving is not running...but again Rhonda was out striking her so I don't see how it would have helped anyway. Maybe she should have worked on wrestling takedowns where she would have gotten low enough so Rousey would not have had any leverage says the arm chair coach

aattitude Oh please. Youre judging Ronda while making excuses for Miesha doing the same thing. Deranged? lol ok. As far as Hallman- If you read any of the fighter's blogs you would know that they all said he was starting with Edmond before he blew up at him but they didn't show it on TV. If you take shit you see on an edited TV show as fact you're just dumb. And btw, you mean you've known OF Ronda since she went to the Olympics. You don't know her. Fame and money went to her head? Oh please. Ronda is nothing but respectful and friendly to all of the other fighters she has gone against with the exception of Miesha - someone she simply does not like. She's never been someone to be fake nice to someone she doesn't like so people don't think badly of her. She still isn't. That's it. She is who she is and acts it regardless of what other people will think of her for it. That's actually an admirable quality.
