Miesha Tate and Amanda Nunes participated in the UFC 200 NY Press Event on April 27, 2016 at Madison Square Garden and both took questions as well as talked some trash to each other ahead of their title showdown in July.
Miesha:
"I think everything happens for a reason. I told everyone I was going to beat Holly and that I was meant to be here, and I did and I am going to beat Amanda on the 9th. I am going to go on and hopefully after that we will see Ronda at Madison Square Garden."
"I won't be paying any attention to [Cat Zingano] until after my fight is done. But after that we will see who wins, I think either one of them makes a great contender. They are both in that top rankings so we will see who wins, but either way, I'm hoping that Ronda is making a comeback before then."
Amanda:
"I think Miesha as a fighter has a lot of holes in her game. Stand up, ground game. I have all the tools to beat Miesha and I'm going to show you guys. She is beatable. If I take my time, I'm going to beat her forever... We wait, 200 is coming."
