We recorded the highest-ever winning margin in FA Women’s Super League history as we hit 11 past Bristol City on Sunday afternoon.
Vivianne Miedema scored six times, which is also the most goals scored in a single WSL match by an individual - bringing her tally up to 22 goals in 13 starts so far this season.
Lisa Evans gave us an early lead when she popped up at the back post to head Beth Mead’s whipped cross home from close range.
We then extended our advantage moments later when Miedema broke down the wing and crossed the ball into the box, before Leah Williamson rose highest to power a header past Sophie Baggaley.
City's keeper then made a fantastic save to tip Jordan Nobbs’ effort from the edge of the box on to the bar, but the joy was shortlived when Miedema controlled well inside the box before firing low into the corner shortly after.
Miedema scored her second, and our fourth, after 33 minutes when a ball played low into the box evaded the Robins defence before our prolific striker tapped home at the far post.
The Netherlands international then completed her hat-trick two minutes later when her initial shot from inside the six-yard area was saved, but the rebound fortuitously struck her before trickling into the bottom corner.
The visitors came close to pulling a goal back early in the second half when Yana Daniels controlled well on the edge of the box before seeing her strike crash back off the crossbar.
Miedema then netted her fourth of the match when the ball broke to her inside the box, she took a touch before firing into the top corner.
Our seventh came courtesy of Jordan Nobbs who ran on to a Mead cross from the left and made no mistake from close range, and Miedema then made it eight when she swept Evans’ through ball past Baggaley.
Minutes later, Miedema turned provider when she broke down the left and skipped past a challenge before finding Evans in the box, who grabbed a brace with a cushioned volley.
We then reached double figures as Miedema bagged her second hat-trick of the match as she collected the ball on the edge of the box, cut inside, and curled an effort into the bottom corner.
Emma Mitchell came off the bench and made it 11, after Evans had beaten two players and teed up the defender, who slammed into the roof of the net from just inside the box.
Bristol City were awarded a penalty in the closing stages when Manuela Zinsberger brought down Daniels and despite our keeper saving the initial effort, the forward slotted home the rebound.

@Dont Lie Mate, you obviously do not watch the WSL, but this is not what happens week in week out. This was a massive, record-breaking match, not a regular occurrence as a result of a poor league.

@Dont Lie Leicester beat Southampton 9-0 this year and Manchester City beat Watford 8-0, those werent exactly close matches either. As other mentioned, this was a record in goal difference for the WSL and they pretty much scored from every chance they had. Its not something that happens normally.

It's only half of the goals. This is not a couple goals but more to a single goals which is only about Miedema. If she still stays on the pitch, I bet the 11th goal will be scored or assisted by her too.

So far, she really love to play for Arsenal as its suits her style of play. She repeated many times just how much she love the freedom she get on pitch because of joe free roam style. They freely rotated the position, so she can either drop deep or switch to wings. I think as long as they keep playing as it and the league getting competetive, and if they can keep her and Lisa happy, she's gonna stay.

Van Persie scored 49 times for the Dutch national team. Miedema scored her 60th (and she's obviously scored more since then) when she was 22. Comparing men's and women's football is comparing apples and oranges, mostly because of the amount of money involved, but she is quite extraordinary.
some of those touches, she is a quality player and those are some damn good goals. Well done ladies, they are stepping it up when the mens team cannot.

@@caleb1972 No matter how great she is in the women's team, she will play very differently when playing in the men's team. Male games are more organized and also fast. Women's movements and strength cannot even be compared. Whatever happens, men and women cannot be pitted. She can play well in women, because the tempo of the game is not as slow and also as hard as women. She will have difficulty receiving the ball, picking up the ball, passing the ball, etc. Not to mention physical contact, where touching a woman should be more careful for a man.. So just enjoy this game. Don't even think she deserves to play in the men's team

She played really amazing yesterday! Viv and Lisa play very well together. lisa gives viv a ball to score, so does viv pass the ball to lisa too. They are a very great couple!

Our Dutch Miedema with 6 goals and 4 assist. Cant wait for the next European Championship.
Also, Viv is incredible, unbelievable, magnificent, superb, all the other positive superlatives! Love watching her play, even though it is difficult being a Arsenal/Holland supporter here in the states. (Took a month to get my Jackie Groenen jersey!)

The Arsenal ladies should get a lot more shine and opportunities. They're actually a very respectable and successful team, unlike the men. They deserve to play at the emirates sometimes. Even some exhibition/charity matches. Give them more press time. Bigger paychecks and sponsorships. More exposure on social media. Get our executives and owners down there on occasion to show them some love. The Arsenal women have been amazing for YEARS and brought a lot of silverware to the club. Our women's team is incredible. Miedema alone deserves awards and recognition. At least this channel seems to be shining a well-deserved light on them. AFTV should do more as well.
