I like the longer format. The detailed analysis is interesting to me and more important then a quick video.

COMPLETELY Agree!! I spent so much time watching the videos before. Now, they're just over, and zero thought to them...

Plus the "Bonus Albums" feature is also cool. Gives you (in this case) the name of 2 more records/bands to check out.
“What should we have as album art?” “Demon tribbing” “Alright, sounds good” A conversation that had to happen.

Trousered Ape about time, too.
shorter? what the fuck the longer the better in my opinion
Always a good Friday when blayne reviews an album.
I prefered the longer format. But the "shout out" section is an awesome idea
Give this goofball his own show on Banger.. Blayne's Bathroom Hookup Horror Stories Reviews.
For the record!..... I LOVED the long videos!! :D These one's, I feel, are too short. I loved the detail and thought you guys put into all the reviews, and time spent on multiple tracks. Now, it seems like it's trying to get done as quickly as possible, at all costs.

Agreed, new format sucks!! 8 to 10 minutes is a perfect review length.
I kinda prefer the original format spent going over more of an album. But hey, I'm just a comment. You guys are BANGIN (crickets)

I preferred the longer format videos, I followed this channel for a more detailed analysis of the records
old format but keep the shout outs

Agreed!
hey Rex Brown, get back to playing
But I liked the longer videos...
Blayne’s reviews are f-ing great. The shout outs are cool. I’m always down to check out new music. Maybe review the new Mammoth Grinder next year? Cheers guys. Looking forward to more solid offerings in “18.
Dude... long format.
Old format is better, but average human brain attention + youtube data analytics won

KZread "data analytics"... And this is how most channels disappear into the void of the forgotten. Not that many people would miss the mess this channel has become. Having said that, Blayne is one of few tolerable presenters still around. I too prefer the old format... Curiously, "one man channels" on KZread which have reviews that last 20 to 30 minutes, crapy lighting, crapy cameras, crapy sound, have 10 times the subscribers of this mess... Just goes to show what happens when you abandon your vision and dreams for that elusive pot of gold, most times it's just a pot of manure, Cheers.

Thanks for the feedback. The truth is if we did videos with one camera and no lights and no music samples and crappy sound and no effects, we could make a bunch of 30 minute videos every week too. But we prefer to make things the best we can. And that takes time. Shorter videos = more videos in 2018!

Sorry for the tough love. As someone who invests in KZread channels with potential, I just see greatly increased production costs without any visible results. In my opinion, consistency is the number one asset of any business and "clients" really get pissed off when they hear stuff like "No more "Lock Hornes" for the near future because... Maybe it's the way you guys deliver the message, to me it sounds like a Football Team who instead of playing twice a week, like they are supposed to, just tells their fans that they will eventually play one of these days... Whenever they feel like it. I wasn't trying to criticise the album reviews, Blayne is brilliant in a short format, not everyone can pull that off. What really pisses me is: - Lock Horns happens whenever it happens... Then, out of nowhere, eventually an episode appears and half of it is plagued by technical issues. - The "end of the year" episodes, the ones with the "Best Albums" seemed like they were put together, in a hurry, by a teen who is obliged by his parents to do chores he really hates... He just complies because either that or no internet, no internet no porn, no porn... DEATH!! - Constant changes in formats and in content, with too much "programming" feeling more like filling than like something to work on and evolve. Overall, I feel the channel has become inconsistent, sloppy, has lost the passion, the drive, is adrift of ideas, and with no perceivable structure nor objective. Then again, I might be full of shit... However, staying around the 100K subscribers for about a year seems to indicate that something is not right. Sorry for the long rant... I only do it because you guys had a project which seemed amazing and can still become amazing, Cheers.

Norman we appreciate you caring. We actually had a lot of fun and spent a lot of time on those year end Overkill videos that's too bad you didn't dig them. As for consistency - we do two review videos every Friday, Lock Horns twice a month, and new interviews on Tuesdays as often as we can get them up. With new things coming in 2018 hope you'll stick around. We're definitely here for the long haul. Cheers.
Nice to see support for Weedeater, a killer band from a little over an hour down the road from here in NC!

Dude, if you are from a certain place, especially *not* LA, NYC, or Chicago, would it not be cool to see a band from there as well?
Blayne you are the best thing that could have happened to this channel
Love your style man. Hope this video format is more successful
I loved the longer reviews :(
Love the shout outs!! It's always nice to cram my guts with more metal!
Another fantastic review as always Blayne! I’m digging the new format as well. It’s shorter which on the surface kinda stinks, but it pushes the reviewer to get their point across with better efficiency which is never a bad thing. I like the shoutouts as well. I love checking out the bands you all review, and now getting a couple more to check out just makes it better. Keep up all the great work all you!!!
I really enjoy this guy's reviews. Keep up the great work!
Fuck KZread analytics! Take all the damn time you need. Another great review man!
I'm hyped, I've been waiting for this for a long time, and you did a review?HYYPEEED
I prefer the longer versions and detailed analysis. Quick reviews you get everywhere. But for example never seen a well researched, detailed and interesting review like Sarah's one for Marilyn Manson! (90% of other reviews were like: Yeah it's kind of shitty compared to Antichrist Superstar OR Hail Godfather Manson, but he got a little bit old though...)
This new format was awesome! Specially with more suggestions in the end! Cheers! Regards from Brazil!
My favorite Reviewer! Great album! I personally prefer a longer review video, I prefer a little more break info/ breakdown. Can’t wait for more next year! Best Channel for metal “ . ”
Personally, I like the longer vids. But hilarious on the albums “no one has heard of”. I’ll def be looking forward to those. Great job as always!
i like the long format but def keep the shout outs!!
I personally like the longer videos, but the shout-outs are great!!! Gives me more music to listen to
Love Blayne reviews!
I was already scrubbing the fridge
If the shorter format allows for more views and takes less time to make, might it possibly result in more reviews per week?! If so I'm super down for it. I like the shout outs as well.

BINGO! It's all part of the plan for world domination. \m/
Dang man. I missed this when it first came out. Oh well. Great review! I like Midnight.
I failed to comment when I first viewed this more overkillder review. THANK YOU for turning me on to this fucking band!!! I cant wait to catch them live!!! Purchased 3 cd's immediately. Listen to them often. Play them at my sloppy night job as a stripclub DJ in Flint, MI. Thank you!
I like the extended play version format better. There's never enough metal. Although this is also cool. They go by pretty fast for me.
Great review, and I'm glad you're shouting out underground stuff, which is my preference anyway. I would love to see some of these get full reviews over the umpteenth middling death metal or thrash album from a bigger name. I get that you have to cover the bigger acts, but if you have an underground record you really love, why not give it the full attention it deserves? Anyway, keep up the awesome work. There isn't enough material for extreme metal in general, so I'm not complaining; just wanted to give some feedback.
Sick love that format
I always love hearing about new bands so you should keep rocking the "Shout Out" portion. Sad to see the video lengths shorting. I watch all the Banger videos to the end. If you keep making 10+ minute videos I'll keep watching them. I think Its best to give the reviews ample time to talk about the album without feeling rushed.
i like the longer format, but still really appreciate the banger crew giving love to the under appreciated. bought this album after the review \m/

Thanks man we love hearing that!
Great album, great format. Keep it up!
I like the compromise you guys made. While I prefer the longer, more detailed format, the shout out section is a rad idea. I hope there can be some longer format videos in the future for bigger/notable releases

Blayne - stop paying all the viewers to say that! :-)
Always loved this band!
Thanx Blayne - another good review!
Can you review the new Kids Pop album when it comes out?
Review the new Shining or Watain they're both comming on january the 5th
I prefer the longer format and like the shout out section. Please review the upcomming Summoning album "with Doom we come".
Blayne is entertaining however short the video. I like the longer format. I like in depth details about the songs and the band's writing process. Plus if I can watch a two and a half hour long Cannibal Corpse documentary in one sitting then I can certainly handle 15 to 20 minute long album reviews. Also I'm bothered by lesser known bands not being reviewed. Banger TV should be bringing attention to more obscure bands. I'm glad Midnight snagged a review, now let's see Nunslaughter, Satanic Warmaster, Minas Morgul, Lich King, and their ilk. I WANT to see reviews of bands I haven't heard of. Any source that I can discover new music through is very much welcome.
First heard him on the deathgasm soundtrack. So looking forward to this one.
The fact that blayne is 145 pounds witch is metal af cause he's close to death.

Never change! Long or short format, either is ok as long as you dont change. Dont let the fame get to you!
Love Midnight. Thanks for the review.
This probably goes without say, but you should definitely review the upcoming Hooded Menace record.

Wild (pinata) horses couldn't keep Blayne away from that one.
Never heard of this band until I saw them with Kreator and Obituary and they were awesome!! Got Satanic Royalty the next day and absolutely loved it!! Amazing band!!
Wish he would have said "more overkvlt".
Love the more detailed approach that you had.
I like the longer review format with multiple track samples that give a real impression of the album. That's the type of content that nobody else is putting out there. Thoughtful in depth discussion and criticism about an art form that's much dismissed as sort of idiot knucklehead music. The track by track is educational too, helps you develop an ear, hear the various techniques that define the genres, spot the sounds of older bands' influences. I do like the shout outs added at the end though. I am using these reviews to shop for albums to purchase.
In 2018 review the new Machine Head album please.
Yes hope alot of people discover this great band major props for reviewing this 😀🍻
Keep doing the longer, more in-depth reviews but add the album shout outs at the end.
I like both the long and short reviews, so I think it should depend on how much there is to talk about.
Saw Weedeater this past summer, in Portland, Maine (@ Space Gallery)
I prefer the longer videos, not so sure about the good/bad thing but if it is flexible enough to allow the reviewer to displey his/her style I'm ok with it, and I love the shout out, that's a great addition.
Saw these guys open for Obituary and Kreator in April at HOB Cleveland, they kicked ass live.
Love this Midnight record, but yeah, it's hard to top Satanic Royalty. Keep the shout outs in the reviews! A great way to spread the metal around!
short and straight to the point is fine by me ! even if i liked the longer version this one is cool for a review.
You should put a sample of the song at the shout out section, so we can have an idea of what to expect.
I like the longer reviews.
If the new format means "shorter videos with less track samples and much more condensed analysis instead of track-by-track" then I'm not into it.
awesome to see the Weedeater shirt NC represent!
I also preferred the longer format, but can accept the shorter if more reviews are done. For the shout-outs, it would be great if you could add the band and album name into the description (a Bandcamp link would also be great).

We will be adding that to Shout Outs in the next batch! (There are links right now to listen/buy in the video description, fyi.)
Wow look at that album cover!!!!love it!!!!
Anything Blayne does has quickly become my favorite part of Banger TV.
Protest the Hero is releasing a new album in 2017!!! Please do a review. If not you then Bradley should definitely do them.
Big Thumbs up for the Bone Thugs N Harmony shout out! E1999 was their best album when it came out in 1995!
Being from Cleveland I feel ashamed I only heard about Midnight a year ago and still haven't checked them out, this one sounds really good. Going to listen to it today! And follow it up with Cleveland's finest Nunslaughter \m/.... shorter format is fine, but less forced comedy and more music clips, the small band shout is a great idea at the end.
Judas priest fire power
Pretty damn happy you reviewed this band.
Blayne has got to be my favourite album reviewer
Totally woth to listen to, even if it's only for it's awesome album cover! x') Love it!
Blayne should wear something festive for his next review. Something to.ring in the New year with? Maybe overalls and a set of Mardi Gras beads? P.s. you forgot to Review BELPHEGOR
Though I'm new here, I prefer longer videos going in depth. Shout outs are definitely welcome!
I like the old format of actually going through the album as a whole.
back with the longer reviews pls!
Props to the Bone first two albums! Love this Midnight album
If you dig Midnight, check out Deceiver from Sweden.
Thank you for the Tongues recommendation. Awesome album!
Oh shit. Midnight being reviewed by Blayne? Two things I highly enjoy coming together in perfect unity! I agree with you, though, Blayne... This album definitely doesn't feel as gritty/nasty/sleazy as their previous efforts production-wise, but I'd still say 4 out of 5 beer-soaked skulls, too. Also, preferred the longer reviews, but, eh... I get it. Like the Shout Outs section, however.
Blayne please review new Watain next year! New format was pretty good, but I do prefer the longer. However if you end up sticking with this one it won't be the end of the world
I didn't to hear enough of the album. Guess I have to hunt it down. Old format was better
Man I much prefer the longer videos, i would've love a longer review on Sweet Death and Ecstacy.
Glad to see some bands from my home state of Ohio getting some recognition!
The first song clip sounds a lot like Venom. I like it.
Like the shout outs, but I thought Banger handled longer reviews well! If no one watches to the end, tbough... I get why the format is being changed up.

I prefer the longer reviews (but with the shout-outs). but I'm not fussed one way or the other.
Any videos with Bone Thugs references gets an automatic thumbs up.
Killer album!
