At least in that hospital game one, the Vermander actually do something to redeem himself by selling his family's estate to do charity(?), and give the rest of the money to the hospital for improvement

I love how so many of the devs games are tied together and completely different from each other. Ones a diner ones serving shadow people and getting the big bucks. Ones a hospital where there's no good ending.

@@Skull_E_Duggery He lost his wealth, his comfort of home, mauled to near death, and passively humiliated being under the mercy of everyone he wronged. We just didn't see the gore. He get what he deserved, but I'd say the imagery needs to be more explicit. For example, the hospital staffs whom he shorted out of cash couldn't afford a gourney nor enough Morphine or anesthetics to carry him to hospital thus making his journey painful all the way.

the good ending's really sweet, especially with cornelius cracking a pun and then setting jeremiah on fire lmao

I love how you can tell it's the dev of Man Behind The Window or whatever that game was called because of the distinct... er... female models he uses.

The Dev is getting creativ with this moddle, like wtf is Naomi. Also the good ending so goofy, you cant hate this game.

Plus, I like all the characters and their stories. And I also like how in The Vermander Curse and Midnight Maid Night, they actually are connected to each other and both have human and humanoid animals living together in the same world.

This was a great sequel it would be perfect if the servant froze Jeremiah then shatter him destroying his soul in the process if that would happen it would’ve been perfect sequel

For a horror game, it surely does not have the typical ending nor character design. I really like it!. That Sans reference made me chuckle ngl

other horror games: normal looking women and jumscares. zed_technician's horror games: thicc women and buff men, critical thinking, lessons, no junpscare, wholesome.

Imma be honest, this guy’s games are hard. Man in the window is easy once you understand what stalls the man in the window. Beware the shadow catcher requires to know when the shadowchatcher (who for some reason doesn’t care about the shadows) is gonna appear, but also you have to manage the shadow people. Vermander’s curse is probably the hardest one. You have to make sure the doors are closed and you’re in the lobby, then you need to make sure the tv’s are off, then you need to close the window, THEN you need to put out all the candles, and on top of all of that, everyone just likes to wander around for different reasons. Vermander mansion, simple enough. Collect box, spam your mouse on things to pick up until you can’t, put the box in the van, rinse and repeat. Then there’s Joseph’s dad, just hide in the hidden rooms when the candles are blue and you good. Then there’s the guy who went for the newspaper (I forgot his name) who will take one of the two characters, but will apologize because it’s not the dad. Just don’t stand outside for too long. Then the maid, who will put out the candles in the room she’s in, so you can’t tell if the dad is gonna kill you. She runs away if you look at her, so if you do that and you’re are good.

I’m curious: if you’re still looking for games to analyze, have you given any thought to the Corpse Party series, Umineko, My Big Sister, or DreadOut? They’re all creepy AF if not full-on disturbing, and they tend to get overlooked by most horror fans. Corpse Party: Blood Covered is the most famous one, and it still tends to get blank looks in response when you bring it up most of the time. This game is definitely proof that you don’t need good graphics to make a great game, or get scared by a well-crafted horror.
