He is expensive, I wonder if he stops us moving for an 8 as well!

Perhaps Gallagher could be a bit better than many of our current midfielders, but not by that much. Doesn’t exactly feel like a game changer.

I think the game changer in the midfield will come in the 6 role, Gallagher is home grown, and durable. We need health in the midfield which we seem to struggle with so much. Is it the best addition maybe not, is it an improvement I do think so

This Mats Weiffer looks a very complete mid, tall strong, gets stuck in. looks composed on the ball, shields it well and plays a lovely range of passes and another thing when he makes a tackle and the ball runs free he's quickly following up to try and ensure he gets possession There's another great Dutch midfielder at PSV Joey Veerman, great passes and another quality composed player more central and attacking but another very complete mid

The dutch league certainly has talent, just have to find a way to use them! I like Mats I think he is talented!

Onana is great, wonder if we will smash our record transfer fee this summer (60M), and if we do, will it be on a 6 or a forward? Also, on Gallagher, seems like a great profile to add, but I do wonder if that would mean Ange doesn't rate Bentancur. Gallagher would be a good signing, IMO, just for the sake of taking him from Chelsea (lol). That would give us Maddison, Gallagher, Sarr, Bentancur as our 8s. I do wonder if that's creative enough, and if we shouldn't be going for another 10 instead of Gallagher.

I think Ange has looked at this season as a fact that 2 in each position for midfield doesn't cover it. We will move on from Pierre and maybe Gio so you need 2 in to cover that as well. I think for transfer record breaking, they do that at the striker position

Ange did say he is not looking at players being designed for any role in particular but the ability to play a few

Gallagher is a textbook angeball no.8! Honestly cant think of any other no.8 that would fit the system as perfectly as him. Pape is still a little too inexperienced to start as the 1st choice. He would be a perfect rotation option next season if we get Gallagher

He, Sarr, Bentancur, Bissouma, a new 6 is a decent selection, that you can sprinkle in a youngster for a few mins here and there!

@insidespurs7717 anyways I just wanted to hear your thoughts: what do you think of Vitor Roque? I have been following him for the last couple of years or so, and I honestly believe this guy is something else. It's a shame that there's so much nonsense going on at barca and he isn't able to play. Reckon we make use of the situation to sign him possibly as a replacement for Richie if we sell him?

Hey buddy I'm not sold on Gallagher simply a couple of seasons ago he said he would never sign for Tottenham but like most supporters if anje wants him well ill back anje 100 percent I'm kinda glad we're not in the CL next season because we were never going to win it anyway but the EL that tournament is winable for Tottenham especially with all the changes in Europe this season tanks for the update buddy

Yeah if Ange wants someone, I want him to get them! too many managers not given the players they want!! EL would give opportunity to some other rotational players that wouldn't get as many minutes!

Gallagher and one of those wouldn’t be too bad

Everton has benched Onana recently- and their form has improved…do you really think that they’re not going to jump at the chance to offload him this summer? Especially in light of their FFP issues? I think he can be had for less than 50 mil.

Certainly a good play Ndidi, just can’t stay healthy enough!

If CG loves Chelsea so much he should stay there. I’m sure they’re still offering him the equivalent in salary of a lottery jackpot win every year. How much money do these guys need?! I don’t want players who see THFC as a consolation prize.

I doubt he would look at it as such, but the idea is they are wanting him to take a pay cut, only to probably sell him the following summer for even more money
