I got the full size Khaltaat as a blind buy, used it straight out of the box, people say you have to let it mature but it already smells nice so I can't imagine what it'll smell like later. I had someone else smell it and they loved it. I also got Khamrah which I'll spray and leave alone to have it ready for fall/winter. I'll definitely order more Lattafa and other arab brands samples to find my summer fragrances. People should probably get samples first, the perfumes probably smell different for people based on body chemistry and their own sense of smell, maybe their nose catches notes they don't like.

The Khaltaat fragrance is amazing and "strange"... I love your channel Sim!! From the Khaltaat I get very sharp/sweet/'bitter' *dried* CANDIED fruit notes.... I do get why some say "fermented fruit" but I get more sharp/sweet candied fruit with ambers & woods & spices. Thank you for such good reviews & fragrance *descriptions*. My Khaltaat was a blind buy & I'm very happy with it. Please review the Silver Khaltaat *Delight* version. Great video!!

I just recieved my order of Modest D... When I here people say that a scent 'makes their mouth water " I now identify ... stunning , it reminds me of a strawberry parma violet sprinkled with alluring spices :))))) .. it is realy gorgouse .. It will be interesting to see how the patchouli note responds in the colder weather ... I feel this buety will smell even better if I can let it ' sit' for a few weeks .. Highly unlikely though :) ...its so inviting;) ... Afnan are so reasonable price wise ... Brilliant content ..

Omg Royal Blends has been my LEAST favorite blind buy thus far & I was SO excited for it too! 😭 Everyone kept saying it was sugar and fruit in a bottle with hints of coconut, but when I got it, I got NONE of that 😩 The spice was really overpowering, felt like it leaned more masculine? It reminded me of my dad’s cologne and he thought the same thing so it’s his now! 😂 One good thing that came out of it was that I learned that spicy notes are not my thing at ALL 🤭

@@SiminShaikh Hi hun😄, we have 2 kitties and they are real characters, the long haired one is the sweetest , gentlest but both are so social, affectionate and playful and are little people in a fur coat. I kid you not 😂. But the are orange cats and apparently they are known for their strong characters. I would say they all have an attitude but are so charming, loving and gentle , you somehow let them get away with it 🤣. Total lap cats, I have both of them on my lap if Gerry is not at home. ( two times about 6 kilos per cat or more so at least 12 kilos of pure muscle and fur on my lap 😸😻🙀). Thank you for your wonderful reviews, I love them all and always look forward to seeing your beautiful face and the way you talk about perfumes. I will let you know when Khaltat arrives, I will wear it if it is love at first sniff, or give it a week or so and then try and wear it. Afnan Modest Deux arrived today and I like it, have not worn it yet ( I bought it ages ago from a seller who sent me Afnan 9am Femme instead, not sure that I like that one, will have to revisit in warmer weather, it lacks some sort of depth but perhaps I was in a bad mood when I smelled it ) Much Love and Light to you from Tasmania 😻🦘🐾

@Simin Shaikh Those "influencers" are completely right 😉. Except for Fragrance World Ambre Eve, Paris Corner Frenetic Delicieuze, PC PriveZarah Amber Night, PC Pendora Boozy Cherry, Khadlaj La Fede Intoxicate, Arabiyat Lamsat Harir and Lattafa Pride Afaq I've always had to let them macerate for a week up till several months even to get the scent that's meant to come out (and the ones that are decent in the beginning always become 10x better after 2 months. Oh, and I have a collection of +/- 160 perfumes and 40 decants). Basically, every perfume that seems very watery with a vague flowery/perfumey smell or that gives a huge alcohol boost in the beginning hasn't been macerated. The first can be note damage from traveling too, but the alcohol blast always means they added alcohol to the notes and maybe let it sit for a few days, but not the necessary amount (which can be up to a minimum of two months - with the initial additional maceration of the separate pyramid parts not even counted - depending on the notes in said pyramid). It's a practice that was a regular thing under perfumers, but it's been done less and less by designers and everything under that (gets them better profits). Only the super fancy French brands, niche brands and those with a high profile name (like Chanel, but also Al Haramain or Swiss Arabian) still do it - and you can notice that difference in quality. Sadly, not in price! It's why so many new fragrances nowadays give the feel of weak fragrant water, like a bad bodymist: they still need their juices cooked! I got a CK Euphoria over half a year ago, because I'm a dark/red fruit fanatic and had never tried it: it smelled like gummy bear water! Put it in my closet to sell, forgot about it and a few weeks ago I suddenly saw it when I was changing out perfumes. Curiosity made me test again. Well... it has macerated 5 months and it's suddenly clear to me why people liked it! I still layer it with a strong amber fragrance, but it finally has body and some depth. Anyway, Simin, if you appreciate Afnan Modest Deux Pour Femme I really recommend Jazzab Gold from Ard Al Zaafaran. It's in the same vibe as the Afnan, but creamier and with yellow fruits in the top instead of red. The longevity is disappointing if you're in a Northwestern European country - it thrives in warmer weather - but it is still one of my favourite Arab fragrances ever. I think you'll like the bottle too 😊. I've tested several Khadlaj fragrances, five or six, and eventually bought La Fede Intoxicate since it's a great plummy reinvention of Angel's Share. I also wanted the Sensuos Night, but it didn't last on my skin at all, so I decided against it for now (and Khadlaj is around 50 euro in my country). Khadlaj makes nice (dupe) scents, relatively elegant I must say compared to Lattafa f.e., but they're not exactly strong, both longevity and projection wise. Since I'm a new subscriber I don't know if you've tried them, but really: try Paris Corner! I specifically love Frenetic Delicieuze, PriveZarah Amber Night and Pendora Boozy Cherry. But they have so many different lines (Emir, a lot of Kilian dupes, PriveZarah = lot of Dior Privee and other similar fancy stuff, the Killer Oud = Amouage, and Pendora dupes many popular designer fragrances. If you can find Paris Corner NorthStag... please please test IX! I have Maison Fragrance World Barakkat Ambre Eve, a dupe for MFK Grand Soir. But the NorthStag IX is apparently even better than the original GS - if that's possible). Would also love to see more Ard Al Zaafaran & Rasasi - often forgotten by KZreadrs (Ard Al Zaafaran Romancea and Shams Al Emarat Khususi, and the earlier mentioned Jazzab Gold are favourites), as well as Swiss Arabian. But I understand that even for someone close to the source Swiss Arabian can be more expensive (they start at 80 bucks here). I'm really intrigued by the large line with all the special caps on the bottles, like Rose 01, Amber 07 and Hawaa etc etc. Last but not least: in your Lattafa video I commented with my own faves and somehow completely forgot Lattafa Velvet Rose! Shame on me! It's a wonderful Rose fragrance. I'm not a Patchouli fan either - it can 1. Become superstrong on me 2. Almost always smells like damp, musty earth, like a root cellar, ugh! - but in this one it's done well. It has some smoky accords too. To me it's a quite sensual Rose perfume, suitable for women who know who they are. But...I think it can be incredible on a man too, because he'll probably pull the Labdanum and incense stronger with the roses as a sweetener (I personally think that a slightly sweeter fragrance on a man - gourmands like Angel's Share & Khamrah, but also floral types - is an aphrodisiac, but that's just me 😅) It's one of those Lattafa fragrances that won't get any attention, but imho that's unjust.

Ok, first off, I love your red hair! And you are gorgeous! You know whats funny? My Al Haramains, Rasasi, Swiss Arabian etc. dont need to macerate. They are all ready to use. It is only the Lattafas and Al Rehab I feel that give the gosh awful alcoholic blast and numb our senses lol. I think a few of my brain cells die every time I smell that alcohol bomb! Girl! You need to start your own KZread Channel! You are a natural and you would do great! You have so much experience with Middle Eastern fragrances! Like my jaw literally dropped to the floor! And now I cannot wait to get my hands on Jazzab Gold by AAZ! For some odd reason, Khadlaj never appealed to me. But I am soon to do a collab with them. It will be a great way to test their newer fragrances. Their men's range last forever but you are right, the female ones barely do. I think I need a PC tutorial from you, because I have tried not even one from their range. I was in love with those angel share kinds bottles with the tassels and they are on my list to buy. But they are rarely available online here. So will have to go PC hunting in the old perfume market. I have made note of everything you have written PC related and will for sure check all of them our since you have more than intrigued me. did you know that i started my channel with Western perfumes and then somehow got into Middle Eastern ones and now I cannot come out lol. There are sooooooo many. Such good gems! I wanna visit the Old Dubai perfume market because thats where all the rare beauties lie. P.S. I also agree that a slightly sweeter perfume on men is an aphrodisiac! ;)

@SiminShaikh Aww, you're so sweet! Thank you for the wonderful compliments 🙏❤️. I'm not really a KZread kinda girl. I already shy away from a regular photocamera! I would hate being on film 🎥. Plus, I suffer from chronic illness, with chronic fatigue+ pain and paralysis as one of the symptoms, so people would surely forget about me if I ended up not posting for 2 months because I'm not doing well enough. It's how I lost most of my Instagram followers as well as any algorithm favouritism (ugh, I hate that. You can post absolute nonsense daily and get put on the top of each person's wall and if you give well researched information, have written an article or done a video that cost you a lot of effort and that's actually useful, BUT you only post every now and then... you're invisible! ) I'm more of a blog person. I like research and writing, so as soon as I have a tad more energy , I might do a style & human interest blog or something. Perfume reviews and tips included, for sure 😉. BTW, so weird that Khadlaj has men's fragrances that last forever while their female line is... ehm [bad word]. The brand is super new in Europe. I've not even seen it in Germany and the UK, where they usually have things sooner than we do. I fear, though, that they might not make it. First of all, they're the umpteenth ME dupe brand. Secondly, they're not even duping unexpectedly... like, say all formerly very popular fragrances that have been discontinued or reformulated. No... they do they same ones as all the rest. And then the only way to sell is to do it a lot better than Lattafa (to name the most bought brand) and not worse when it comes to SPL. It's extra sad because from the scent alone, I could gather that their perfumers aren't bad. The fragrances itself were quite smooth, if you know what I mean. No screechiness, no jumble of notes, no blast of alcohol (PS. Lol@ dying brain cells. You're so right! It's a wonder I still have a performing nose, and it hasn't been burned from the inside, sheesh! ). So either they use zero fixatives to - necessarily- enforce weaker notes, or they use too little quality oil...I don't know the reason, but it's made me less than interested in more samples from them at the moment. I'd rather spend my €€ on other brands. I *will*, however, watch your collaboration video - you lucky girl! Free perfume is free perfume after all - because I'm curious what else they have. My favourite webshop has doubled their Khadlaj stock, too, so they must be bringing out tons of stuff. Oh, I almost forgot: I only have Al Haramain oils and just one Rasasi perfume (Daarej). I just acquired one Swiss Arabian (Hamsah, still in packaging, so I don't know yet about quality). But I agree based on this meagre proof and what I know from those who do have plenty of edp's from them, that these brands most likely macerate in house. But... they are also the more expensive/fancier brands that have just as many of their own creations, or even more, as they do dupes. If you have tested Swiss Arabian Rose 01 and Amber 01 and 07, please let me know. And anything lovely that Al Haramain has to offer would be great to know, too👍. I've found a German webshop that has quite a lot of Middle Eastern offerings, and even when the Dutch ones have sale, Germany is still cheaper in 80% of the cases. They have lots of Lattafa (I'm getting a backup of Pride Ansaam Gold, Pride Awaan & Pride Winner's Trophy for 50% of the Dutch price), Armaf (finally getting one of the Niche fragrances, the Armaf Niche Oud, since it appears not to have any Oud 🙄🤣🤦‍♀️), Ajmal and Al Haramain. The last two are available in numerous quantities. I've only decided I want the Al Haramain Junoon Rose, based on the pyramid. For the rest, I'll have to scour the Internet for reviews. Anytime you want to know something, hit me up 👍😊. I totally understand the fascination with Middle Eastern fragrances. The absurd prices for Western designer and niche perfumes are already a strong push to look elsewhere, but to then find out they simply have good stuff, interesting stuff in pretty packaging and with the majority being very affordable... yeah, why go back?? And there is so much more to discover as well: Nusuk, Rihanah, Hamidi, Kalamat, Zaien, Riifs.... all still on the to test list. And that's just off the top of my head! Plus, I often get compliments on them. Today I was talking to my butcher - of all people, lol - and he suddenly said, "What's that scent you're wearing? It is lovely! Sweet, but not too much, and really unexpected... yeah, nice! " (Lamsat Harir, Arabiyat). While I wear perfume for myself, it *is* nice to get complimented. Not in the least because smelling great is important (and good manners, hahaha). Okay, I need to rest. Have a lovely week! See you next time. Xx
