Marauders are crappy, golden armor and singers... I'm all for variety, but should keep these like easter eggs, they kill the game's dark mood. Shadow of Mordor had a better dark atmosphere, even the lamer classes they removed were nicer, the Bonesaw and the Slaver... miss them.

What's with Mongols?

Something about the Marauders being super rich, eating and drink all day that just appeals to me

I would have loved to see tribe specific missions and boss battles. The mystic tribe had the balrog, so the others could have done that. Feral breeding horrific monsters beyond the basic beasts, machine makes some sort of proto-tank, that sort of thing. Suggestions?

Ok, here's the quest lines I think would be cool. Some are based off of your ideas. Terror: The Terror tribe has captured some Gondorians and your Captains, torturing them. You must put a stop to it. Machine: The Machine Tribe are creating heavily armoured Troops and are planning on taking a proto-tank out for a test drive. It's a Graug covered head to toe in armour, wielding flamethrowers on it's arms with a rider to steer it. Marauder: A Marauder splinter faction is stealing supplies from your forts, weakening them and you must find their leader. Dark Tribe: The Main quest where we track down the Assassin counts, right? Feral Tribe: The Ferals are the ones behind Elemental Graugs. With the aid of a Mystic, they create Cursed Graugs. Sauron Eyed, emanating black mist and spews Morgai flies. They must be killed. Mystic Tribe: Zog's questline. Warmonger Tribe: The Warmongers are ceaselessly assaulting your forts, their leader giving almost perfect tactical commands. He must be killed before he takes back everything you fought so hard to earn.

Adam S If you watched the live stream when they showed the warmongers the VP described them different then the ordinary uruks. Even though they aren't fancy dude like the dark tribe or feral or anything like that they are different in terms of how they act. An ordinary uruk would be undisciplined and just care about nothing other than themselves. A warmonger is way disciplined and have a bit of sense of honor. They are basically like Vikings a bit or maybe knights. They are also good followers if you want a tough guy to help as they charge in the front lines ripping heads off and what not.

This is next level! They've taken the orc lore and giving it the textured, epic, layered, culture feel of Mad Max: Fury Road.

The dark tribe has the most assassins. Assassins don’t give you a second chance when you’re down. Which makes them excellent for defending your fortress against humans. Beautiful

I hear you man, i'm not blind to the loot boxes they shoved into the game but... You know what makes me "ignore" the fact that there are microtransactions? The fact that in the first game i spent ALOT of time just killing captains and spawning more to see wich ones would rise to power and then brand the ones i thought looked cool etc... I grinded the shit out of Shadow of Mordor ... BECAUSE I ENJOYED IT. And i'm counting on that fact from the first game to help me ignore those crates .... i also did not buy the silver edition or anything just standard. There is definitely a chance that i might regret my purchase if any aspect of the game is .... rigged ... to slightly nudge people towards spending more cash. And a part of me also believes that by buying this game i might be feeding their greed.... But i WANT to play another Shadow of Mordor :P It's difficult when you love a game but immensely dispise any sort of gambling mechanic to "do the right think" i guess the right thing in this case would be to not buy it... But then i miss out on the potential great fun i could have if i just spend 60 euro's and ignore the microtransactions... /end ramble.

I'll inform you they're not so bad. The game can be a bit grindy at times, but the microtransactions aren't necessary. Especially considering you can earn chests from the occasional challenge, and you can buy the lowest level ones (which give at least on Epic Captain regardless) with in game currency. They're actually surprisingly not all that cancerous.

Warmongers till the end. They don't inspire fear by hurting themselves and other off the battlefield, they don't care about treasures they get after the battle, they don't fight from the shadows and end the fight before they even begin, they don't rely on the fury of other animals in a fight, they don't use magic or tricks to tip the scales in their favor, their true weapons aren't the ones in their hands made off the battlefield, and they aren't forged in some factory. They inspire fear through their mastery in battle with pure skill, the treasure they get from battle is the thrill of the fight itself, they fight their battles in front of their opponents out in the open so as to truly best them. On the battlefield they are the true animals that tear through armor and metal like flesh and bone, their weapons aren't made in some factory, they themselves are the weapons. They don't win through tricks or sorcery but through their better skill at arms. They are the true ONLY Orcs in Mordor, They are the WARMONGERS!!!!!!!! AND WE BRING WARRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!

Don't you say that using alternative weapons is not a skill. Don't you say that using "tricks" and "sorcery" is not a skill. Don't you say that fighting in the shadow or relying on other allies is not a skill. All of the orcs are born with their unique skills, same as humans. You don't say that people with physical advantages are stronger than people with intellectual advantages and conversely. In the battle, no matter how strong you are, how great you are, the winners are still the winners.

It's a defender called "Gûndza the Raven", and although ravens are definitely not dark as I thought for a long time, they are mystic, which is actually my favorite tribe and also one of the three I'm planning to focus on

Dark Mutant right in my playthroguh I found through pitting equal level orc against each other that's more times than not top three fighters are 3)dark 2)Warmonger 1) terror. Warmongers barely ecks out a victory over dark and terror to the warmongers. But my fav is warmongers. No tricks no bullshit, just straight skill and intellect. I see them as the underdog who worked their asses off to beat the gifted geniuses of other tribes. Might and willpower over are talent any day.

We still got two more tribes, outlaw and slaughter tribe

Dark tribe is my favourite my gorgoroth is completely filled with them the orcs feel the closest to the orcs in lotr and the fort looks cool too it comes with a dark gritty atmosphere and statues of sauron around your forts it looks great in gorgoroth especially with the dark servant wraith set paired with the mask of the undying you really feel like a nazgul in mordor serving the dark lord

@ThatOneHighSkeleton yeah all tribes share the same set of base moves through their class. What I’m talking about is the tribal attack, and what tribes directly affected. Like the mystic tribe overlord making it easier to see enemies with the necromancer trait, or cursed weapons.

Real quick, if your somewhat bored of Shadow of War, here's a challenge that I personally loved and made the game fun for me again At the begining of the game, pick a tribe. Any tribe you want, for any reason. You can only use Talions gear and gear you get from capitans of that tribe, and can only brand orcs of that tribe. So you have to find good orcs in your specific tribe, while also killing enough to have a good set of armor. I have done this with both the Warmonger and Feral tribe, and both where a lot of fun.

I made it where my armies in said forts were all one tribes for fun and I tried to do it what I believed would be accurate. Forest - Feral (lots of game and beasts to tame) Snow mountains - Murader (feels like gold hoarders and mining there) Caves - Warmonger (veterans of war for front lines Volcano - Machine (forgers and weapons smiths) Desert - Outlaws (wanted to do one dlc and since it's the back of it all they use scraps for the fort and it looks mad max style) Minas morgul not really a fort but other than blade of gladerial dlc characters I may have some favorite mythic or terror there. Basically regions with actual forts all terror, slaughter, mythic, and dark were killed off.

Machine, Feral, and Warmonger are my top 3 favorite tribes in order. You just gotta love the line " you're not the enemy, you're grist for the machines"

in my opinion it's mystic, marauder, and terror and this is why 1. Some mystic are necromancers and can revive uruks or ologs 2. Terror are insane 3. Marauder scavenge better loot for uruks and ologs

Suddenly I want to see an RTS game centered around these guys. Maybe some kind of early Second Age setting in which Sauron has to master the different tribes and bring them together as a single army. The campaign could begin with dozens of different tribes, which Sauron and the Nazgul must condense into seven large ones, so it starts with the formation of each tribe, then moves between focusing on the individual tribes and their goals (Ferals have to tame wargs, dragons, etc. while the Machines invents new stuff, and the Mystics discover new magics) then takes a broader perspective in which you mix and match the different units, heroes, and researches to build your perfect army. The story could focus on the events leading to and culminating in the war of the Last Alliance, which ended with Sauron losing his Ring in the final battle.

Remember everyone. The dark and warmonger tribe abilities only work on the player character and shouldn't be used in the arena against other orcs.

Well, I liked it too. That music showed to me the spirit of the tribe, and what they wanted. All trailers did that, but some people got butthurt over this particular song.

I really like it. Fits them well. Truth be told, I'm probably going to have a hard time convincing myself not to have a 100% Marauder army.

well many of the marauders are in fact gay i saw a marauder orc say oh come here honey *kiss* *kiss* pretty disgusting too me i'd kill em on sight!

Had to watch this since I finally got back into the game. I loved the concept with the Orc tribes, currently have a Marauder as my body guard, keep him around when he first saved me from being killed by an Orc with that perk to instantly kill you. But the trailer for the Mystic Tribe hit hard tho ngl

I loved this game because it showed different sides of the orcs instead of there one purpose to fight it showed how they live among other orc clans and how they live life In general

Now i want "Made in Mordor" tattooed somwhere on my arm XD

Such an AMAZING game with such great elements! Hope they really made it big with this game!

I would go has a poisonous mystic assassin (epic) Why ? Just think : -mystic tribe gives teleportation with a badass knife -assassin's advanced class makes more damage when betraying warchiefs, gives throwing knifes, agility and no chance when killing Talion -Poison combines preety well with assassin.

I've actually thought out a concept with that Uruk-idea. I think we should establish a good game-concept and start a petition. If we could get enough votes, we could show it to Monolith and try to make them bring that game to life. Currently, I’m developing a video-series for a concrete concept. I would really like to make this reality. If we got this to a great enough number of people, we could make a petition, with basically potential customers signing in, and send it to Monolith and WB-Gaming...

This is a cinematic masterpiece!

This game gave orcs a really refreshing dimension not being sole servants but having a real "culture" humanising them a little I would like to assume.

Loved the video and can’t wait for the game to come out I’m so excited for it

Marauder Life For Me

Imagine a multiplayer game whereabouts you play as an orc

this is really well made

The machine tribe used explosives, meaning they canonically have access to gunpowder. Imagine being an elvish bowman, training for decades to perfect your art, only to be lit up by an Orc with sixteen muskets tied together

It's usually hard to watch when rap music is added to these types of things, but this was actually pretty cool

You know what I think the developers did an amazing job with the design of the mystic armour really looks cool and necromancy like style which is cool because I'm pretty sure these guys are supposed to have the highest chances for that perk
