Like how many hero’s and captains to basic troops etc. For instance boromir is 160 points but I could get 20 Minas Tirith warriors for the same amount, so it’s knowing the right balance. Thanks

A tutorial around Special Strikes would really be useful; they're still not an auto thought/action when I play and they really should be.

    Hi Steve, great tips very useful. I just have 1 Query for tip 8. In that specific example, the two orcs have a greater chance of losing the fight on a 2v2 than 2 1v1s. This is because of the higher fight value of the dol armoth knight. so in that example although yes your supporting orc will last longer as not in base contact you have increased the chance of the front orc dying significantly.

  • @TopTableGaming

    @TopTableGaming

    5 жыл бұрын

    Both Orcs are up against it in any way they are set up, lol. This example is just a way of tying up two models whilst only risking one of your own ;)

  • @georgedowning5092

    @georgedowning5092

    5 жыл бұрын

    @@TopTableGaming I was more in meaning in a 1v1 the orc has like 42% of winning the fight where as in a 2v2 the orcs only have a like a 35% chance of winning. Due to the likelyhood of getting 6s

  • @TopTableGaming

    @TopTableGaming

    5 жыл бұрын

    George Downing butbwith one on ones theres a chance both Orc’s die in one turn, with the 2v2 the supporting orc is guaranteed to survive. This the orc would still be alive for at least another turn. Techniques like this really help when at the end game and trying not to be broken or killed off objectives. ;)

    @@TopTableGaming So after this discussion it got me thinking so I have now done the odds on this exact scenario and it's really interesting so: With 2 1v1s on average the Orcs will take 0.389 wounds per turn and deal 0.139 wounds per turn. With a 2v2 where the orcs have spearmen, the orcs will take 0.339 wounds per turn and deal 0.130 wounds per turn. If the 2nd Dol Amroth knight magically had a spear so a 2v2 but with both units having spearmen, the orcs will take 0.339 wounds per turn and deal 0.119 wounds per turn. This is really interesting stuff and something I hadn't realised so thank you very much with this discussion. I hope you share this on your next top tips video as well ;)

  • @TopTableGaming

    +Casey Rogers not really as it depends which force you take. For example, if you take elves, they’re expensive as it is, so sometimes it’s a struggle to get just one in! Lol Two banners is awesome. A way round it is to take one and a hero with a banner like special rule ;)

    i think that fight falue is highly overrated and i dont get why. your fv is rather higher lower or equal. it doesnt matter if you have a fv of 1 or 5 when you fight a model wich a fight of 6. if you are lower you are 16% more likeley to lose and the other way around if you are higher (wich is a lot in the long run but imo not worth spending rare recourses like might points to negate this in one single fight) with equal fv the chances are equal and on a draw duel roll its still 50-50 chance. So why would i ever declare a heroic strike when i just could use that might to increase my duell roll. increasing the fight value can give you a better chance in some situations but you still dont know if it works out before points were spent. when you roll the duell roll you will know if spending might on increasing a duell roll will have an effect or not. am i missing something?
