In honor of National Heart Month, I just completed my last mountain bike ride for February, hitting my goal of 150 miles and 10,000 feet of elevation gain. Being a widow-maker survivor, mountain biking has changed my life in so many ways. My story - on April 9, 2017, I experienced a massive heart attack called the “Widow Maker”. The widowmaker only has a 3% survival rate but I was one of the lucky ones. After being resuscitated back to life, I was given this incredible opportunity for a second chance at life, and I have taken full advantage of it.
In 2020 and during the Covid shutdown, my wife and I purchased Electric Mountain bikes and a Sea-Doo Spark 3 up Jet Ski, and we have been having a blast. I have been riding 2 to 3 times a week since and have been taken off all my blood pressure and cholesterol medication. My goal is not to just share our travels of mountain biking and Jet Skiing, but also to share the health benefits it brings as well.

My entire family loves the beach because were from Florida, California, and Hawaii. But I am a mountain and desert guy. Nothing beats a nice downhill mtb ride in mammoth, or a scenic ride in Anza-Borrego desert.

Nice ride.. those trails dont look too chunky at all.. no rock gardens at least.
