    Our church just got Pro2c and I am one of the volunteers to help set it up. The audio technician is supposed to be training all of us but it is hard to get an understanding of the layout. Most of us never touched a mixer before and don't know the difference between vca ,aux, pop groups and such. Hopefully with your video we can get it going. Thanks for putting it together.

    Using a Pro 1 in a few days after not touching one for 6 months, this was a great refresher. Thank you.

    Dude. Thank you so much. We just got a Pro 1 at my job the other day and I've spent the better part of today super pissed off. I found your video and now I understand what's going on. Thanks again!

    I thought I was getting to be well versed on these consoles, but this taught me a fair bit.

    This Video is saving my a** right now, I have to run a festival on a Pro2c next weekend and the very first time I will see this console in real life will be 30min before the first soundcheck! Thanks for making this video!

    Thanks for this! I am doing FOH for a small festival that is hiring a pro1 for FOH and this has been alot of help. Especially since the control software is mac only which is one of my peeves about the desk. Dont understand why they couldnt have wrote software that gives all the gui elements of the desk to represent it and create a showfile from it but instead created software that is very close to what runs on the desk and because of that would never run on windows. anyway, Great video!

    I would like to see a video on sending effects to in ears one chanell at a time. Routing is my main concern. For instance sending a drum mix to in ears with a little reverb on the snare and toms, guitar mix and most importantly on the vocals.

    In order to route effects into aux mixes you'll have to first route the effects back through an input channel and not an effect return. (you can switch the effects return mode between effect returns and input channel too).

    I was in your CMDU class on Dec. 2-3, 2013. Excellent video, Kyle, feels like refresher even for me who's got to do it for real. Only thing I would suggest is better screen shots, directly from DVI, kind of on Richard Faraday's Pro 6 video from MIDAS website. Otherwise it's the best walk-through tutorial on Pro 2c that I can find. Great job! BTW are you gonna be doing CMDSE courses here in Vegas or just in UK?

    Hello, thanks for a good walktrough of the console! I had a job earlier with a Pro 1 console. I patched everything as you did, also patched aux 1-4 to output 1-4 on the midas stagebox, and main bus L&R to output 15 and 16. I connected my iPod and played some music. There is signal to the iPod channel, I turn the gain up and the fader but nothing is showing at the mains as well as no sound when sending iPod to aux1-4. Why didnt it work? Got it to work by loading a earlier show file but I want todo it myself next time.

    I've been trying to set up my Pro 1, following this video. Somehow, I'm not getting any audio. When I use the internal oscillator to check signal I get no response in the meters. I can't seem to switch the "direct mute" switch (top left red button on the console) off.

    Great Video. Can you confirm if Aux returns are Mono or Stereo? In the Video you patched to Aux Return 1-3. Or do you link a pair to make them stereo?

    hey thanks for the video, i have a question, when you are using the Pro2 just like FOH, and you have a speaker for comunication to the monitor man, can you use the monitor fader to control the level of his mic(Monitor Mann) in your Shoutbox? Cheers

    Hi i just received the Midas pro 1 and followed all instruction and read the manual however i am facing 2 issues. First after selecting the channel and press the quick access button next to the 48+ the gain trim knob is not responsive. the only button responsive is the knob on the assignable controls on top of each channel can i change that? Second is the Osc/ Pink Noise the 4 button (ALL, INP, AUX, MTX) are not responsive Basically i have no pink noise at all

    When you explain that you're hitting the swap and attenuating the "digital realm" 21:25, what exactly do you mean by -10 or +40 levels? I understand the level terminology (-10 and +40) but what's the application and reason for attenuating the digital in? Thanks

  • @markcorben3426

    @markcorben3426

    It means there is a digital gain stage right after the analog mic pre able to take 10db off the signal or add 40db. You need this if you share over a network, otherwise you'll be changing someone else's gain structure if you want to add some gain at the top.
