love this comment ! reading is so different for everyone, and of course not everybody is going to love and dislike the same books! I loved second first impressions, she didnt, and thats so okay!! reading is super subjective, which is a big part of it :D

WAIT OMG the same thing happened to me and I was so stressed about it BUT a week ago a randomly picked up Looking For Alaska by John Green and I was HOOKED and it sparked my love for reading again:))) It’s so so weird because I’ve never really liked any of his books but going into it blind was so so exciting!! I’ve read like 4 books since then (I’m a fast reader lmao) so I totally recommend just picking up a random book that might be out of your zone and go into blind!! Don’t stress we have soooo much of the year left and I’m sure you’ll get it

i was in a book slump, reading one book per month AND THEN I STOPPED READING KOTLC and I LOVED READING AGAIN rn: just finished the angel trials by michelle madow and it was so good (read on my kindle. it was in the kids section but IT IS NOT FOR KIDS UNDER 13) also reading wicked fox by kat cho and i love it (never heard anybody talk about those 2) i have the night circus and the inheritance games on hold at my library but it’s gonna take a while to get them but i’m reading a deadly education by naomi novik next you, haley and sara helped me get back into reading!!! thank you so much!

don’t forget this is her job!! lots of us have school or work that prevents us from reading but destiny gets to do this as her career (which she is so lucky im not hating at all) but just remember that whenever you want to compare your reading!

I love this idea better considering I had that problem with overlapping with questions. My goal this year was 100 books but to read more manga/graphic novels with novels and I am 99/100 at the moment. Next year I am lowering my amount books to read.

I still recommend reading Legendary before you give up the Caraval series! It’s just such a good book and is elevated from Caraval.

i honestly think you might have had that book slump because you read a lot of books all the time i am a very passionate math studant and i love math so much i study it all day everyday but last year i had this sort of math burnout in which it s just because my brain was in the same place all the time that it got tired and it s okey i took a 15 day break in which i went out partying and went to the beach and did not talk about math or do it for 15 days and then when i came back i was so happy again to pich up those books and my mind felt fresh and enthusiastic again . uk no matter how much u love what ur doing ur mind needs breaks to fully grasp things u can actually develop better reviews or connect with books more because of that .
