I really loved the Empire of the Vampire as well, read it last year. The Empire of the Damned is even better, at least not worse. It is so good! I can't wait for the third book.

I loved it so much but it’s extremly dark and morose 😂
I preordered a special edition of Empire of the Vampire but I haven’t read it yet. It’s been making its way around BookTube again but I think I’ll wait until closer to the third book’s release. Happy reading.

I loooved Butcher & Blackbird as a regular read. It was a super fun read imo. I don't think I can do books with smut (especially intense smut) on audiobooks 😂But now you make me curious to actually check out the audiobook. I've heard nothing but great things about Five Broken Blades so I'm excited to read it (especially since it's ALSO pretty).

The voice actor and actress are so impressive you definitely need to try like an hour lol
and I've just put The Empire of the Vampire on hold on Libby. I cry at pretty much every book I read for various reasons, so I'm kind of looking forward to seeing how much this one is going to make me cry.

Have you tried The Dark Series by Christine Feehan. The first book is The Dark Prince. But a big warning is really Smutty. But the love stories are Great.
