I've frequently heard advice on how to design based on the popular elements of the time, but this was the first video that has really deep-dived into WHY the style was popular, and I appreciated your insight on how to utilize that knowledge for modern trends. Thank you so much. I really like this style, and after I made the video I redesigned my living room in Mid-century style, complete with Eames chair which I had stashed upstairs, unused, in my office. Everything old is new again!

Interesting stuff. I suppose the Art Deco movement occurred too early to be included in the video.

Art Deco was concurrent with the earlier styles of Mid-century Modern such as those from the 1920s Bauhaus. However, the style is different, although in many instances compatible with Mid-Century Modern. I appreciate hearing from you. I will be doing a program on Art Deco one of these days! Thank you for your interest.
