I love my stitch, It’s worth every penny. I hate that a lot of channels don’t put microtech in the top tier of knife companies. In my opinion the are built just as well as hinderer, strider and Chris Reeve.

I don't have the auto, but my manual stitch is one of my all-time favorites.

I've disassembled mine before and it doesn't use any washers, just rides on a raised piece of the handle. It does utilize a pivot bushing which is a pretty cool detail and is one I appreciate alot.

I love the Stitch! My favorite Microtech knife so far that I’ve handled. I’m hoping for a satin blade with purple ano one day. 🤪

I took mine apart last night to give it a deep clean and was really impressed by the quality of the hardware. It was a little cumbersome preloading the spring and getting it back together with the plunge lock springs, but l managed to get it. What’s cool is the captured pivot and you really don’t even need to use any blue loctite

kind of a late comment here: the blade hole might not just be for esthetics, the hole decreases it's already heavy blade weight so it fires faster and decreases recoil and frame fatigue

The best automatic out there. I don't generally like automatics, but this one checks all the marks and the ergonomics are simply perfect. Love the design! Especially the Borka Blades Custom versions are absolute grails

They are still making them. I just got one from DLT the last week of July. The birthday on the blade is 07/2021.

I met this little guy over at Nero's some years ago and it has always been on my list. Still can't get one, but man that design is sweet. Totally agree on the manual model buddy. Great vid 👍😁

This is another one that didn’t so much appeal to me at first, but grew on me to the point where I had to have it. I’m sure no one who reads this can relate to that... Anyway, I moved a couple things around and now I have one on the way. I have a feeling it’s going to be a new favorite.

Lol actually it was the same for me as well, didn’t care for the look for years and now all of a sudden I really like the look of it so I got one ordered now.

Love the shape of that blade, gorgeous all around! Only issue is all that writing on the blade, not too big of an issue though. Great video!🙂

I love microtech! One of my favorite edc knives is an LUDT. It is a fabulous side opening auto.

Well I’ve got the green fat carbon reate tribute, wingman edc orange and black g10 Mach 1, and now the stitch in the mail. All three are in the mail. Time to slow down alittle. My wallet hates you sir! Well I received my stitch from smkw yesterday and wow! I’ve wanted this knife for years and it was definitely worth the wait!!!! This thing is so sweet!! In use to carrying knives like the protech tr 4, the gerber 06 auto so this knife fits right in on weight and everything! If u find it in stock get it! Don’t hesitate just get it! Mine was born 11/2020 fyi.

Love this video, get me so pumped can’t sleep tonight and thinking of calling off work tomorrow since mine will be delivered tomorrow from DLTtrading lol. Wicked fast delivery too btw. Super curious on the blade..picture advertised XHP which I haven’t seen in a Stitch yet and since 204p hasn’t been around for minute now I’ll be waiting on the M390 or a XHP variant!

These are hard to find, however I did find KnifeCenter offering pre-orders and yes, I placed my pre-order!

The workmanship on that knife looks to be impeccable, which you would expect from Microtech.

They were listening and gave us the glorious ramlok stitch.

Ordered a Stitch from Smokey Mountain Knife Works yesterday. Really excited to get my hands on one, I've wanted one for so long, and at least I know if I don't like it I can move it quickly for not much of a loss.

Just got one from PVK Vegas with a 12/2020 birthdate. Lovely blade. I was thinking that a double action (like the harkins ATAC model from Protech) would be amazing.

I just got mine from pvk vegas yesterday! Down here in Vegas and decided to see if they had any at the shop and sure enough! This thing is badass!

I’ve always loved that design and surprisingly the Stitch is more affordable than other offerings. I’ve looked for the Lilo thinking it may be a little cheaper but I can’t find one.. great review.. There’s not much to dislike about a Microtech lol

I really really like the Stitch and also the Hawk, but check out the Socom Elite Auto with a heavy duty 4 inch Tanto blade for value. It's a beast and even more serviceable in my opinion.

I’d say the hole is for looks as well as weight reduction. I bet it would also look good with that hole filled but recessed and two toned

It probably would be closer to $300 if it was designed by microtech, but I suspect there’s not an insignificant licensing fee to Borka. Also, part of that agreement may have been to restrict it to auto only.

I Ben carry n auto knives for over 20 yr and the stitch is the best one I've had. Wish they make a smaller version it is a little big. The best auto knives I've ever had

Looking at getting one... creeped me out slightly when you said Seth had sent it to you 😂

They just released another batch of them around the end of August, 2021 but they got snatched up very quickly.

I think I found a local shop that just grabbed a couple of these . I have a app tomorrow to go look at it . I am worried they are going to charge a ton but fingers crossed .

My Stitch came in yesterday, and it is all the radical I knew it would be. Thanks to Metal Complex or I would not have known about this knife. But it is not pocket friendly AT ALL. I'm thinking a deep carry clip might be a solution. This is my third Microtech along with the Socom Elite and LUDT and I don't like the pocket clips on any of them. :/

From what I understand, but really can’t remember where I heard it, or maybe I am just imagining, but Borka doesn’t want a manual done because he doesn’t want people whom bought one of his very expensive custom knives to feel they have been cheated by a very good copy of what they spent a huge amount of money on, just got produced really well by Microtech for a whole lot less money. The Auto is something he doesn’t produce and is enough different than his customs so it won’t mess with his custom buyers or make those buyers feel cheated on their investment.

You’ve probably been told or found out yourself but the Stitch doesn’t have washers. There are large flats inside the aluminum scales that the blade rides on and also uses a bushing pivot.

Yeah they are killing me waiting on more ludt to come out. It scares me every time the shelf’s go empty and I still haven’t got one that they are discontinuing them.

just recently purchased the coyote camo variant. my button is extremely hard to press and you have to use the tip of your thumb to push it in far enough. it feels insanely different than my socom elite auto. Wanted to see if anybody else had this experience to see if it’s a warranty issue or just the design of the knife

No. It's not like an assisted knife. This is a true auto, so it'd take some serious modification. There's no detent. The blade locks and releases with the same "piston". They definitely should make a manual version though! 👍

Yes. There are guys on the FB groups who can turn it into a manual.

August 4th 2022. I was somehow able to find one and order it just now.

Just picked one up from PVK. I agree that a manual is desperately needed, but who knows how long that’ll take? Get them while you can...

They'll never make a manual. The knife designer won't allow it considering he makes them and charges thousands for them. If you want a manual you have to buy his custom. Not a microtech.

“The hole is not necessary…” Sure…If ur just playing w it once in a while or looking at it here and there, then putting it back in to ur collection drawer. But, if ur buying it to truly use it as “Do it all” knife, then the hole makes a perfect sense! How bout blade pinch grip or a lanyard hole through fastening to potentially use it as a spear of some sort…? Patch that hole and toss it on the scale, ull see how much more the knife will weigh. Just a personal opinion 👊🏻💯

I’ll buy a a flipper version of this in a NY second!! No doubt. Not a real fan of automatic knives, but this would not be a deal breaker Bc of the auto version. A manual flipper would be the Cat‘s meow 😸!!

There are manual ones. By the original knife designer not microtech.

Borka Blades makes a manual folder of these but they are very hard to find

That polished hole that as you said is pointless because obviously your not flipping the blade out with it. Just goes to show the attention to detail microtech does. Anthony marfione wouldn’t let one of his knives out with sharp edged hole just for the visual appeal.

No budget aside, not sure if I’d even be satisfied with the production model... What are your thoughts on the Marfione Custom Socom Elites? Pricey, but really nice. More investment grade pieces? They go for over $1000. Light use, show off pieces?

Looks like a great knife to hold, but a terrible knife to carry.
