Excellent explanation. Might need a bit of an update re the AI builder, but Lisa's are the only KZreads I watch where I have to slow the speed down! Usually it's the other way! So much in there and all is relevant 10/10

You're right, there is actually quite a lot that could be updated here, it's on my (very long) list of videos to make! I honestly watch everyone else at high speed too. And I talk much faster in real life, I've had to learn to slow it down!

I've been watching quite a few of your videos today and decided to subscribe. Clear and concise explanations, much appreciated. I have one quick question: within this suite, is there a capability to run emails from outlook through an application and trigger workflows?
@LisaCrosbie
2 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for subscribing. You can trigger workflows (using Power Automate) to send out emails, or on receiving an email. Tell me more about what you mean / your use case for running emails through an application, I don't know enough to answer the question from what you've said here.

@@LisaCrosbie Hello Lisa, thanks for replying to my question. I wanted to know if it is possible to run emails received in outlook through Power Automate, trigger a workflow and send a response on the back end of the workflow. Basically all our work is on outlook and i am looking to find a way of running email queries through a platform with defined workflows and allow me to have data for analysis.
Many Thanks from Taiwan.

I like this presentation❕ It was creative & engaging. I subconsciously couldn't find anything wrong with the content. It provided more than enough info but not too much. However, isn't Dataverse also called Common Data Service❔ As someone who is interested in taking the PL-900 exam - Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals - your presentation is very helpful as an overview. Now, I see 1 of the reasons why you're an MVP⭐ (Most Valuable Professional😉). Props to the Ghostbuster vehicle aka Ectomobile👻🚓, I believe, in the bg. Thanks!

Can you make a video showing how students can benefit from learning and applying these tools, please?
It all looks nice and shiny, but you have not covered anything related to a code for the apps, releases, promoting from one environment to another. Any case studies who was working with this?
Please make a video on Azure Application insight for Canvas Apps, Modal Driven Apps and Portals

How can a developer get access to a MS Power Platform sandbox to learn Power Platform?
@LisaCrosbie

You can get a free developer plan here powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/developerplan/
Ive been doing bunch of red-teaming lately where power apps, automate and data verse is the weak link used for both data access but also code execution. Its scary that so many things are enabled by default for the whole company. Im not sure why this approach was considered a good idea.
Dear Madam Only powerapps error showing please can you help "Hmmm Somethink went wrong" any solution ?

model-driven apps require a common data service database a flow instance can only access one common data service database canvas apps require a common data service database
@LisaCrosbie
Жыл бұрын
Common Data Service is now called Dataverse. Yes, you need it for a model driven app. Yes, a flow can only access one Dataverse environment. But canvas apps can be built on any data source, you don't need Dataverse for them.
Hello, thanks your video. Is it possibility to use model-driven app if customer have different crm or database or management offerer or use totallyt different data in their system. Is it possibility to use model driven app this cases? Should it thus use canvas app? could you make a sowtware data engineerin video including different of scenarious and how power platorm positions itself in different cases. Put like a expose picutre picture or cartoon movie how to explain the connector and how to it display in end user. Different kind of scenarioius various cases with power platform sowtware. Like if i have a not a MS ERP or different CRM or other managament system like intra needs to effective app underneeth of doing something or is it always that it always shown end user display different, what it shows what we do in power model driven app if like doing something sharepoint work flows or something else. Need weed explosed picture or video and cases or scenarious and how the data moving and shown to other system or dispaly or etc. Hope you get it what i mean :)

You can only use a model driven app with Dataverse as the data source. If you want to build an app connected to another data source you should use a canvas app. You might find this video helpful kzread.info/dash/bejne/dmmmqqyscrbOfbQ.html
whenever i hear/read "you don't need to know how to code" i expect horrible apps with bad ux, no error checking, no security, and untested results
@LisaCrosbie
7 ай бұрын
Not necessarily the case. Have your IT pros set up all the security and connections to other data sources properly. Then you can use low code as a way to speed up building more complex use cases or allow business users to use templates and drag and drop design to build smaller apps they need - rather than using Excel which has no security at all.
