I've had this mouse for about five months and the wheel needed to be cleaned. I don't think it would have occurred to me to lift the top the way you demonstrate it must be done. Got it opened, cleaned and put back together in just a few minutes with your help. Thanks.

I saw this video, did the disassembly to mod the mouse, got yelled at by my parents, and finally watched the video. Now I know how to take out the circuit board to mod it!

Thank you for the video! My mouse works properly again, saves me couple bucks and time to buy a new one.

Very useful video, Thanks! (I'm gonna take it apart to see if I can make the wheel turn without having to put so much force on it. Seems terrible design flaw to me)

Mine had occassional double clicks on the left button. I used it for about a year, daily. Comparing the left and right sides, the left felt somewhat softer. I opened up the mouse just as shown on the video and took the plastic hat off from the micro switch. Between the contacts there were some dust. I straightened the metal part to make more spring force and put all back together. At firtst test, the left button now is harder to press than the right, and no noticable double clicks. I guess i need a week of usage to make a final verdict, but looks promising.

i've been having this exact same issue and am currently trying to figure out how to fix it! has it continued to function properly since you did this?

As far as i can tell, the double clicks are gone. For me it was a hw issue

I took mine apart to clean it, but then when I reassembled it, the top cover was stuck down, and had lost the springyness for the buttoms to come back up. Any idea on how to fix this?

Shoot, ignore that. The back of top cover wasn't clipped down properly. Thanks for the video

can you put it back together after disassembly?
