@@caleb7122 That's because the diaphragm is made of gold, so it can conduct electricity. Remember, gold is VERY conductive to electricity and is also very flexible.

not THEE holy grail. I'd put the c800g before the U87 and maybe the U67 but it's def top 3 best mics imo.

And the capsule costs.. around 180$.. damn
Neumann U87 should be treated with care, but is definitely not a delicate piece of gear - this thing is build very solid! You can trust it!
