    I've been debating on buying either the OMP or the Goosky. Both seem really good. Love the 3 blade setup.

    Thank you! The three blade head is amazing! Flight video tomorrow! Both are fantastic helis, personally I prefer the S2 Over the M2 EVO for a few different reasons but main two is power and flight times. The S2 is more efficient and has a lot more power big-time noticeable differences. Also the servos on the S to have more power and do not feel like they’re stalling no matter what you do.

    Nice I hope they make a 3 blade head for the Goosky SR4. Although it might be a on the big side for microheli. I'm sure it'll look great with a 3 blade.

    Hi Jeff just a quick question , is there much difference setting up 3 blades vs 2 , as only ever set up 2 blades any advise would be great 👍🏻

    wow you just solved one of my negatives towards this model,it was how you slid the canopy off with the 2 blades still on..other videos i watched did not show this..Brilliant.. can you share what 3blade advantage is?

    I’m glad! I don’t know why others don’t show that. It’s very simple and allows you to keep the blades on. So three blades gives you more lift. Faster cyclic response and can run a lower head speed (longer flight) and get the same performance as you have that third blade.

    @@westhobbiesrc8051the r2 is my first heli, I've run 8 batteries thru it today. I got it today also lol. I want to order a spare set of blades as I KNOW I'll need em eventually. I've seen the 3 and 4 blade conversions and wondering if a 3 or 4 blade upgrade would make my learning curve a bit easier? I'm not too bad with it as is but I'm just doing basic flight. I have quite a bit of experience with LOS flying with my quads and this seems similar so far. Unfortunately I have little to no experience with unassisted ( acro mode or 3d) so I'm going at it slowly. Eventually I'd like to get some moderate 3d flight skills. I use a simulator and can do some things on there just not ready to even attempt anything with my new heli.

    @@erik120719 welcome to helis! Best part of the hobby (in my opinion!) no, you don’t need or what a 3 or 4 blade head. More parts and stuff to break when you crash. The S2 really is a perfect heli out of the box. Believe it or not, the stock blades are extremely durable. But I would just order anther set of blades main and tail, tail booms, main and feathering shafts, linkages and servo arms. Those are your main items that break in crashes.

    @@westhobbiesrc8051 @westhobbiesrc8051 i felt it was a very agile machine . I bunped the blades off the ground once already and thought it was game over but just scuffed the blade. I will just order stocl replacement parts for now. Once i get more experience ill start modifying, i cant mamage to the eave things alone tho

    Love your videos and I learn a lot from them. Question please for I am still in the learning stage. The Goosky blades are 193mm., You said you will be using 180mm blades for the 3 blade head. How come you are not using three 193mm blades? Just preference?

  • @westhobbiesrc8051

    @westhobbiesrc8051

    Жыл бұрын

    Thank you! I’m glad I can help you learn! So yes, the stock blades on the Goosky are 193mm. When going with a three blade you can run three 193mm blades but since you are adding a third blade you can run shorter blades witch will help with flight times as well as give you a fast response and keep the head speed around the same of the two blade.

  • @westhobbiesrc8051

    @westhobbiesrc8051

    9 ай бұрын

    Yes and no, having a third blade will give more lift and cyclic authority. It will be more stable as you have a third blade so more air movement and quicker gyro response.

    @@westhobbiesrc8051 Make it 4 bladed heads and we have an agreement. An odd number of blades looks weird and tacky in my personal opinion. Though I will say that increasing the number of blades by any number should theoretically decrease the amount of cyclic wobble that you get. Not that the goosky really has that issue to begin with.

    Micro helis carbon blades are a complete rip off..$28 for a 205mm carbon blade? Wtf? Align makes 230mm for $16 and even that is still overpriced. I make my own carbon blades and carbon material and epoxy per blade set is literally less than $5!! I cant fathom paying $28 for a two set or maybe nearly $40 for a three blade set. I have better uses for my moneh.

    Lol yeah I don’t believe you make blades. But send me a set I will test them for you! If you actually did any carbon work ( I do a lot of it) you will know carbon fiber is not cheap and you are noting making blades that will hold up with out molds and vacuuming and so on. But good try!
