Microblading Tips & Training Secrets Hair strokes

This is a step-by-step tutorial using a microblade to create a 3D Brow with proper strokes and technique. This microblading tutorial includes helpful tips to create a natural looking eyebrow. 3D Brows Academy Founder Patty Willardsen discusses how to get your clients crisp and natural looking brow strokes. As one of the many steps to brow strokes, 3D Brows students work with PDE Molds to help Online Training students learn proper blade angle and stroke placement.
An artistic approach to microblading, 3D Brows is renowned as a destination for microblading classes & permanent makeup training. In fact, ASCP awarded 3D Brows Academy as one of the best Microblading Training Schools in the country!
At 3D Brows, we are committed to the responsibility of preparing our graduates for success. As one of the only state-approved post-secondary schools we comply with a higher standard in permanent makeup. In doing so we do not travel or outsource our training.
Ensuring our students comprehend the microblading fundamentals, we provide multiple formats of information to ensure students comprehend some of the more critical lessons. Here are some of our featured microblading classes:
Microblading Refresher Course
3-Days of hands on training, plus 50 hours of Online Training!
Microblading Fundamentals Training
5 Day Hands On training + Online training
This special offer includes the above Hands On training plus our Online training. Based around our “Hands On” 5 day training, the online training offers students a more in-depth understanding to microblading.
Digital Machine Shading & Removal Course
Machine method: (+ 5-hour certificate)
In just 2 evenings, softap artist and microbladers can learn the fundamentals of tattoo removal + Shading/ Ombre Brows with hair-stroke combinations along with the hands on experience of using a digital tattoo machine. Learn to safely remove and correct old work by using a saline solution both with a machine and hand-tool. If you want to be able to treat and adapt to every client that walks through your door, we highly recommended taking this course! Shading is a great technique to offer clients that need more than just hair strokes, or for certain skin types that don’t hold hair strokes well and tattoo removal is a great way to attract clients seeking a more qualified artist.
While we recommend having a basic knowledge of microblading or permanent makeup, you don’t have to be an expert microblade artist to take this course !

1- all needle points in altogether at the same time on the same level from start to finish of stroke. 2-Do not tilt blade at any angle left or right, its got to be a completely vertical pen so that pen and skin are at a 90 degree angle. 3- never criss cross your stokes. they should Never intersect. 4- They can be close but not too close to avoid blurred lines. 5- They can continue on from each other in a cascading fashion but never cross.

Thank you so much! I took a two day class taught by women who have no clue about microblading they’ve been tattooing brows since the 70’s. Nice people but had no business teaching microblading! I left there just as clueless as I was before. I have literally learned everything on youtube , this is extremely helpful thank you for this

Yes at first they can look good. The problem is after time when you cross strokes heal they will have a higher tendency to blur into each other making them look un-natural.

You explained the core problems from many courses...don´t explain how important it is to how to hold the pen properly. Another issue I have during a blading session is the type of skin anesthetic cream. Dr.Numb works but the effect doesn´t last long. What do you use for skin numbing product? Is there two different products for to open the skin and for the open skin?

Sebastian just remember when the artist crosses over their strokes their is a higher probability of the strokes looking blurred or thicker. Some artist can do good work crossing but its not very common. For that reason we recommend not crossing over your strokes or until the artist has the confidence to make them look natural. Its really personal preference.

That's great but you only show us the way of keeping the blade straight going in a straight line but how do you round out a brow if you can't tilt your pen? Straight lines look abnormal. I'd like to know how to keep them crisp while being able to create a natural shape.

Good question and it can seem tricky, this is were students benefit with quality hands on training. We spend a lot of time and practice helping students maintain a straight blade thru a curving motion. Were not implying that the blade should not curve you just need to remember to not let the blade angle. Things to remember: stroke with the wrist, blade angle should always be straight as you pull thru the curve of the stroke.

I see what you mean now! Thank you for the response. I've only been microblading for a few months now. I've done a few clients where the pigment doesn't take at all after healing. Even after going extra dark with the pigment. Is that common?

wow no wonder why mine turned out so blurred. Ive been trying to search for new microbladers. I was astonished at how rude a lot were and told me to wait a year until theyre completely faded...
