Ma'm sorry for the delayed comment w.r.t to the question given on viral meningitis, the question also included the observation of PMN's being seen on CSF microscopy, that was one of the reasons which made me favour the diagnosis of West Nile encephalitis - as it is characteristically said to show a very mild neutrophilic predominance in the CSF in it's early phase(compared to other viral infections)...I would be interested to know whether the same is true regarding enteroviral meningitis as well

Mam explanation awsome ..but in question of pcr...there was a option with sequence .. denaturation, annealing , extension and hybridization. actually confused many including me sadly.

Hybridisation is a step in real time RTPCR/ PCR not the simple PCR
