And it works sooo well 😄 We’ve only used these for couples car camping since we made them (my most recent vid is a couples ones)

Love it, ive been looking for a way of doing a bed set up but all the others involve precision cutting wood, pilot drilling and screwing, WAY too much effort for me

Hi Dave - ah sweet, I hope this and all my other tutorials give you both some ideas 🙏 We love going together, the only real difference is that the porta potti doesn’t come when we do couples 😂

I was a bit hmmmm when she said it, but alas she were right :) Yeah the chair and bed is basically the same length as the existing sun lounger :) I need a little extra for me - but otherwise seem to be perfect ;)

Many thanks Eli :) We are well pleased with them - now just need to get out and use them….hopefully won’t have to wait tooo long

I do a lot of sib fishing and my gf won't let me buy a van as 2 car cost lot money so definitely goin buy this car as can sleep in it and put my boat on to to and the kids and gf can go it in and family days and School run hahah love it 😀

@@zafiracamper I'm not sure I want to chance it , imagine that at 0300 hrs 😳 🤣. I may go down the route of making a removable folding bed with storage out of wood

Very handy set up! Plus in Winter, the plastic will resist mould better, because it’s non porous, and easy to clean 👌. People often forget how damaging condensation is…

Is your weight okay on the seats? Does it not cause damage? I'm currently trying to figure out the best way for me and my partner, but was worried about weights on seats so was going to build a platform over them, but this seems much better!

Hi Kayleigh, yeah with had no problems with these shelving unit jobbies - their supposed to hold 80kg/12 stone and tbh I’m a couple a stone north of that 12 and it’s still taking my weight :) If you look at my other bed ideas videos’s there’s a few ideas :)

Hi ya - yeah they work really well ❤️ Hmm interesting question, in theory you could as they did just slot in, may take some welly to get them out, but am pretty sure there was nothing particularly holding them in other than pressure 😀

Proof is in the sleeping and that looks as uncomfortable as hell 😂

Hi y, we have used these now and surprisingly they worked really well 🙏 Think of the shelving unit as just a bed base and then the foam is the mattress 🥳

Camping car par excellence! On solo trips second unit could even be used for cooker, prepping and washing etc?🤔

Cheers David :) Great minds think alike - I did look at them and think oooh a table 😁 Will wait until the next car camp with the Mrs before use these as a solo - would be rude to use them solo first 😂

Would it work with a double matress if I push the tables close together?

It would do yes :) We like the separate foams as gives you a little bit of legroom on the middle and at the ends :) (ps I’ve never tried my double air bed in the car so don’t know if one would fit “normally” or not 🤔

I am looking to try and fit 3 in a zafira. Do you think it would be possible to attach a hammock for someone to sleep over this setup. I'm thinking of somehow using the driver doors and back hatch?

Hi Yvette - tbh, I don’t think there would be room for a third that way. If you look at my video with The thumbnail “not again in” that’s the first time we used this setup and I’d say it’s fairly snug for 2. A third on top would pretty much mean no room for anyone :(

Excellent yeah the ends pop off - but you will need to cut the ceiling :) I think in my most recent Micro camper tour vid you can see how it fit :) I’ve another tutorial going live soon of a new window covering idea 🙏

why not just tilt the seat up a bit and support it so that it is flat?

Hi ya, sadly there’s no way you can make the middle row flat :( It’s either up completely (which is fine, but makes the bed size possible smaller) or down like on this vid so you have the raised ridge :)

Yeah, it would be good if I could too, but often have kids or parents in the car so need the middle row still 😀

Buy a Vivaro and build a proper campervan.....deep down you know it's just a question of time ;)

😂 don’t get me wrong that would be rather cool, but essentially I’m making good with the car I have (family car 1st, camper as an added bonus) and this zaffy’s got many more years of life yet 😂
