One of the coolest actor of all time. And a great actor
Mickey is a generous guy, we were in the west village during the making of 9 1/2 weeks. I told him my wife and I were great fans. He invited me into his trailer and gave r a picture signed with him and Kim, I think you are a good guy Mickey, you are a talented Actor!!

Just watched this video Ccc and he ( Mickey) seems really relaxed, engaging and likeable. After being in 2 massive blockbusters the Hollywood films came to an abrupt halt. Also, how fascinating if the Gareth Thomas film would have got made - although I feel he would have been a bit old to play the welshman.

Mickey does look very relaxed on his second appearance on Chatty Man, he appears to get on very well with Allan Carr. 'The Welshman' (later changed to 'Irish Thunder') It was great to see Mickey so invested in a movie, it clearly meant a lot to him. It was a real shame that the Gareth Thomas biopic never happened . . . for Mickey and Gareth. I remember back in 2010 when Mickey’s name was attached to the adaptation of Philip Carlo’s book The Ice Man: Confessions of a Mafia Contract Killer. Mickey was set to play Richard 'The Ice Man' Kuklinski, that would of been a great role for Mickey. Another film about the ‘Ice Man’ starring Michael Shannon as Richard Kuklinski came out in 2013, it’s well worth checking out, but I would have much preferred to see Mr Rourke in the role.

@@CoolCityCactus Yeah, I watched the iceman - thought Shannon was really good in it. It's interesting that Mickey on the surface has a quite macho persona yet he's prepared to play roles that most actors would think twice about being in. E.g Animal Factory, Falltime

@@CoolCityCactus You'll love this - I picked up a region 1copy of Falltime from Amazon at the beginning of lockdown 1 as I'd always been curious by the premise. It was a french copy with no English subtitles so I have an idea what it was about and its actually quite well made for a low budget indie but I wish I'd paid more attention in French classes! 😖
