Great review! I am also floored by this set what a huge abomination of a set! They legit look like the Minnie fashion dolls I see at Walmart! They were just thinking this was $200

This is so disappointing for the start of 2021 with a LE doll set. They are very cute along with the box of chocolate and the box art. Just can't see where $200 quality was applied to them. This is very sad.. I know every item you collect is important and valued, so I can feel the bummer in this. I certainly hope these reviews make it to Disney and subpar dolls don't continue to be made.

I thought it was pretty cool that the set includes two dolls instead of just one. Remember when we used to to get two 12” dolls with high quality fabrics, gems, and embroidery for $129.99? Now it’s one doll (12” or 17”) with less detail for that same price and $200 for two smaller dolls. Disneystore has been having trouble with quality control all of last year, play line and limited edition. I kept having to exchange things bought online and my Masquerade Lady Tremaine came in with a broken chain. I do think that this set, while below standard for LE, is still above play line. Play line would have had Mickey with a one to two piece outfit, mostly poly satin, with no layering, and solid plastic or molded on shoes. Play line Minnie would have had no 3D or textured elements to the dress (except maybe the too much glitter we keep getting), more poly satin, and no rooted eyelashes. The box presentation is nice too. The paint job is what’s concerning, and hopefully they don’t all have that problem. Disneystore could probably stand to have better quality control and chill out on such high price points. I’ve already ordered the set, but I would’ve felt better about it if it were closer to the $130 price.

Seriously the only thing i like from this is the box. I love the color. The doll and their outfits... Not so much

I feel your disappointment. I'm glad that I decided to not get it and I agree with your review. This is not limited edition quality. I hope that you will be able to return it and get your money back.

I'm so worried for the Belle and Raya that are predicted to come out later this year. It's such a sad deterioration that started with the second set of Frozen dolls and Rapunzel and seems to be continuing down the steep downhill.

I actually really like the design of the doll set. But their size is inexcusable and small changes like putting the bows on a tulle overskirt, giving her lace gloves, and having the backdrop resemble the Parisian city design in the box art would have made a large difference.

Sorry you were so disappointed with this set. I would think that because the painting is poorly done , that you should be able to return it for a refund.

That is disappointing... I hope things get better with other sets it's not worth $200 maybe 50 0r 70 at most :(

Ummm..... I knew from the pics it wasn’t for me but $200?? No....maybe $100 but no....the faces are too simplistic for me, the design is cute in art form but in real fabric not as cute. Guess you’d have to be just a huge Mickey collector/fan I guess?

What?? I'm soo sorry I'd be gutted if I paid $199 for these 😭 what happened to the embroidery and the rooted hair, they could have tried flocking their ears for a new effect. I should imagine that a lot of people want to return them this set should have been at least half the price for this much downgrade in quality. I miss Minnie rocks the dots in those beautiful cases, her clothes that with some you see all the perfect stitches and her cute little boots I really hope they bring this quality back asap because right now there is waaaay more detail in a £29 rainbow high doll and that is just wrong 😔

I’m glad I skipped to this set, looks a lot like the Jakks Pacific Mickey and Minnie dolls.

Since fhe corners of mine are damaged - i can return due to damage. Otherwise i would have to pay for the return myself

i'm quite sure that Disney appreciates the hard-earned money that you spent, but they will most likely ignore your quality control critiques. i probably would have overlooked the paint flaws, but that dress is atrocious. That design did NOT translate well into 3-dimensional doll scale.

That’s sad I hope you can get your money back hopefully Disney will come up with something better than this ❤️

Omg...seeing you holding the set at the end was shocking!! So teeny tiny!! Will you actually be able to return them since it's considered limited edition?

@@Dolldad_83 do you think that this is just a one off item or do you think this was supposed to be a first in a series of these types of dolls. I find it odd that they created a fully new sculpt and mold of these two just to make one doll set

WOW those are really disappointing. Such bad quality and they look like the play line dolls that you get at Target or Walmart. This should have been $100 at very most. $50-$75 seems appropriate $200 is FAR to much money for the quality. I’m hoping the rest of the LE dolls in 2021 are better than this.
