Mick Schumacher Isn't Coming Back...
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Mick Schumacher's career came to a grinding hault after the 2022 F1 season. having moved to Mercedes he seems to have started afresh, being accredited with their double podium in the Spanish Grand Prix. Is that enough to save his career though... I'm not convinced, here's my reasons why, along with what chances Mick has with getting back on the F1 grid for 2024...

After Canada, Mick was actually showing real signs of improvement, and he often outperformed Magnussen. I know, he had a lot of time in that seat but it seemed like it just took him a while to get up to speed. I think he actually has real talent once he's comfortable with the car. And that's kinda what I saw happening towards the end of that season with the Haas, he was finally starting to get a good feel for it. So I was sad when they let him go, as I thought he was finally going to start exceling, which would have been cool to see for a team like Haas. I'm not going to sit here and pretend that "I told you so," but after the 2022 season, when I looked back at Mick's performance I wasn't impressed with Kevin by the end of the year. I had no idea they would choose Hulkenberg, but I did kind of feel like it made more sense to keep Mick rather than Kevin. Magnussen's a seasoned driver, he's not going to improve a whole lot. At least Mick has the potential for further improvement. I dunno, I definitely wanted Haas to keep him, but then when they signed Hulkenberg who started off really well this season, I couldn't help but think what a missed opportunity it was to get a veteran like Nico in there to give Mick some new advice. I wholeheartedly believe Mick would be doing better than Kevin right now. But that's some hindsight wishing. My point being, I think you're right, I think he's probably done. But... lots of stuff I've never expected to happen has happened. So I don't rule anything out. I DO think that Mick is talented and might deserve another shot though.
I could see Audi having mick and Valtteri. Honestly I wish there was a way to get rid of lance stroll.
I agree - Mick had 2 seasons to prove himself and didn't. Sargeant's not as bad as you're making out - at the start of this season he'd had pretty much no time in an F1 car and the first 6 races were street circuits most of which he'd never previously driven, so not ideal for finding out the car's limits. Since Austria he's been much closer to Albon and I reckon will score points before the season's out - so should retain his seat for 2024. And if Williams decide not to go with Sargeant for year 2, why put Mick in the car - even with Mercedes backing ? Surely Merc are more likely to want to put Fred Vesti in an F1 car to see how he performs and if he's a future driver for the Silver Arrows? Agree on Alfa / Sauber - Pourchaire is the only sensible choice if they decide to drop one of their two. Alpha Tauri has both drivers out of contract at the end of this season - and RB have Liam Lawson waiting in the wings for their next available seat. So I really can't see why Mick would be any team's choice given the alternatives.
Lest we forget all of the front wings KMag lost on lap 1 and had as many race ending crashes as Mick (albeit not as spectacular). Of course Kmag outperformed Mick in average finish...right? Yes, but by about a half a position per race. Kmag couldn't convert good qualifying into good results despite being clearly favored by Steiner and the team as a whole. Yeah, Mick got totally dominated.👍Perhaps analysis isn't your best suit. Your comedy is much better.
Love your wisecrack humor! 😂
I've got one question Daniel Riccardo?

there will probably be another team added by 2026, most likely American....if they were smart F1/FiA would put up the cash for the second seat, and reserve it for the F2 champ, which would give an opportunity for a non blood money driver

You just can’t get enough of the Haas smashing the wall can you? 😂
I really thought there would be a Le Mans comedy review
“Expect to see Hamilton sign for the Scuderia” WTFFF
We don't care that you don't know much about it! We need it!
3:42 what does cell reproduction mean here? Like...I don't get it.
"Mr. Touchy" Dying of laughter
Mick returning into F1 as a driver for Williams would be plausible. I think he deserves a second chance.

You forgot the biggest issue with a 24 Hours of Le Mans Comedy Review....you'd have to watch the whole thing. And like I'm a huge fan of it but even I'll admit it can be hours of "whos pitting now....wait, who was that..." and not much else.

That's why I usually went to sleep some time during the race. This year i decided to watch the whole thing cause you know it's 100 years of le mans so it's special and holy fuck that was chaotic 😂

@@adenkyramud5005 yeah this year had some nice chaos 🤣Also as an American I loved the bringing together of the 24 Hours and NASCAR.
Mazespin, 😂 I’m dying!
I hope Sargent can be good. F1 needs an American driver.
Agreed.
Whaaaaaat? No Le Mans, but your my only reliable source for motorsport that I don’t have the time or money to watch! jk, keep up the fantastic videos
Haas is hard to judge a rookie driver. They are so up and down. Mag was better because Mag was used to Haas. Mick needs a team that believes in him. If Mick was giving money to drive at Haas Mick would have been hero. Haas needs to not ever take paid drivers.
The only chance I see him getting a ride is if there is a driver decides to retire
Im a big Mick fan but even Im not insane enough to think that he could get a seat next year

No not me either, but I do see it as a distinct possibility for the next year, especially with a friend like Toto pulling strings.
Why not he just try other series when most people known or himself even know he has slim chance go back f1
Tbf Ive never really seen a place for him unless he can get into Audi eith a better more experienced teammate. He's pretty good but he's never been one of this rare stand outs like Hamilton, max and mics dad as examples. Shame he didn't do well against kmag and I don't think hass was the best team for him and such a shame his dad isn't around to help coach him and push him in the right ways...
If Mick cant land an F1 drive again soonish he may very well be left with Formula E like many dumped F1 drivers, GT/Prototype racing such as WEC or DTM.
Spoiler: he’s in 2024 WEC
Just want goatifi back...
TLDR You don't know what will happen.
Love ur videos
Destroying an over $200 million car a few times will get you fired every time, unless you're the champion. If F1 wasn't so heavily invested into their driver developmental program, they would give indycar's Alex Paolu and Pato O'Ward serious opportunities. If I was running Hass, I would scoop these young guys up. Better than what they have now.
It depends on himself not you!

well all i see is vettel returning for audi with mick😁
man the crashing joke got tiring half way in the video
Guys, it's not his fault. He had to take lessons from Ralf.
Trust me guys he be back hes just wants to take care if his dad i would do the same back down from a dance crew and look after family stupid he choose the wrong team i garentee u when leeis Hamilton is gone mick will drive that Mercedes see ehat happans :)
Mick got screwed by Haas you ask me,, Obvi Guenther didn’t like him… Hell Mazepin would still be with the team if not for that whole Russia/Ukraine situation…I guarantee that..2021 I wouldn’t even count as Mick rookie year that 2021 car didn’t belong on an F1 grid.. 2022 was probably more inline with Micks rookie year.. H2H with KMag… Raceday Mick beat Kmag 12-9 .. Qualification Kmag won 16-6.. and Kmag scored 25 points to Micks 12 but the Bulk of those came with that 5th in Bahrain oh and Kmag had 5 dnf to Micks 2 .. So really wasnt a bad year ..Haas is a joke man..and I wish Mick would of signed with Toro Rosso over Nyck De Vries

Are u gonna forget how much money he cost haas by crashing. He is a sub par driver at best and his dads name got him into f1. Don’t give me he won f2. One of the least competitive f2 seasons ever. His name is the only reason why ppl have sympathy for him. If it was anyone else u wouldn’t say the same

@@aralerdogan9912 Dude was driving a POS shite box And then you combine that with the massive pressure to do good or else… Dude deserved one more year…. and what the hell has Haas done since then with there veteran drivers,, they finished P8 last year with KMag and Mick and dead ass last with Hulk and Kmag…
Will, I normally love your videos. The humour you inject is priceless. Unfortunately, I draw the line at a video title that's absolutely absurd! Okay! Maybe 2024 _'might'_ not be Mick's year to return, but truthfully... he has a MASSIVE chance at getting a full-time seat. Maybe not necessarily for 2024, but looking at 2024 and beyond, he has a very realistic chance at a full-time seat with a top team!!!! Firstly, most top teams have already stated that they would love to have Mick drive for them, except for the fact that they had drivers signed. Secondly, Toto snapped him up when nobody else would. Yeah! Let's hear your argument against that, mate! Thirdly, Mick's talents are undeniable! The team that not only gives him a full time drive, but also supports him as one of their longtime drivers, KNOWS damned well that he's going to win races for them.
