Mick's first brisket on the Z Grills 700E wood pellet smoker grill

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

First time cooking a brisket and I'm pretty happy with the results.
Total of 10 hours cooking on the Z Grills 700E pellet smoker grill
Grill set to 107ºC / 225ºF until wrapped at ~70ºC / 160ºF internal (7 hour mark), then increased grill temp to 120ºC / 250ºF (as was going to take too long) until probed like butter.
Next time would probably start at 120ºC / 250ºF and also rest it in a suitable sized esky!
Sorry for the crappy camera work in the last scene but was past my bedtime and brain was not at full capacity - and can't exactly re-film that the next day!

I bought this as my first propane grill. It's been a fun, learning experience kzread.infoUgkxCx5fHawkK9OoV-ojFrY8JLnZrFwAmvUt . I think it's a bit too pricey after looking at other grills, but it wasn't hard to put together and it works really well. I love the side burner option for heating food during a power outage. I have an electric stove and live in the South (Hurricane season), so this was a bonus. I also bought a cover for it and it has protected it nicely (the Char Broil All-Season Grill Cover 3-4 Burner: Large). Every few grill sessions, I take the rack (or grate) and burner covers off and clean them with a non-abrasive scrubby and mild soap. I wipe the excess off of the bottom as well, taking care to avoid the gas and pilot lines.

I just bought one after cooking on a Pit Boss pellet grill for years. For your first brisket you did a heck of a job. End product looked moist and tender. I can't wait to get back to smoking wings, steaks, and a turkey for Thanksgiving.

  • @zgrillsaustralia4541

Doesn't smoke continually, you get waves of smoker every 5 min or so as new pellets drop and they smoulder. Plenty of smoke throughout the cook to get great flavour and smoke ring.
