Wow - I love marching bands - this is truly one of the best I have ever seen.

Diagonals. The sign of a block band that knows how to march. I didn't see any of them in any band the rest of the morning. We love our SMB. What a classy organization. That's always been true, but a great year from our team just made it apparent to more people this year. Thank you to Directors, staff, and students!

CLASS, STYLE, PRECISION, AND PERFECT. That was a Rose Bowl March that all bands from the Pac 10 and other places who show up in the Rose Bowl, should take note of. That's how you march in one of these bowl parades! And when they got to game, even ABC noticed their great style, and quickly cut away from the tragic Stanford Band at the half. We have some great bands in the Big Ten, so enjoy them America! GO STATE!

This former SMB member is so proud of these young men and women, including my son and daughter. So glad the team made this possible for them. GO GREEN.

Michigan state

SMOOTH!

I'm a UMich band alum and a veteran of three Rose Parades. I have some understanding of how the SMB works because my MSU alum high school band directors turned us into to a mini-version of the SMB.. (The Series? Yup. Eat 'me up? Yup. We didn't do the Kick Step, but we had the Quick Step). I think this is an excellent and well executed performance. The only quibble I would have is the choice of Falcone Fight instead of Pregame Fight. A lot of gaps in FF, and the sung section just doesn't work in a parade. Granted, I'd much rather hear The Victors being played down Colorado Blvd over anything MSU, but I still think this was quite good.

Just saying michigan marching band is better
