Michigan Junkyard Tour! We went back!

Hey y’all,
Back at the junkyard and saw a few new additions and failed to score any parts or the International Harvester Metro!
Had a great time though!

@@bomberbash My first was a '52 DeSoto Firedome, bought out of a farmers field. Took about 3 1/2 years to get it kinda-sorta back together (16 year old who was just getting into it) and I recall spending more time in the garage or the junkyards than with friends. Sadly, most of the yards here are no-more. Best we can hope for now is a used engine or a square body Chevy if were REALLY lucky.

@@nunyabidness674 I absolutely love those Desoto’s!! Such a rad year! I hear you. We currently have a 68 C10 but I so regret selling my 83 about 10 years ago for dirt cheap. We are losing so many yards like this. It’s sad.

More Auburn Area. Surprised you were able to get stuff. They are pickey about what the sell. You ask about the older cars. Always get the response "not for sale we are gonna restore it". Been hearing that since I went to HS out that was from 04-07. Went to school with a kid that worked their along with his dad so got a chance to see some of the cool stuff back in the day.

@@caseycoleman4597 nailed it. We have gotten a few small things. But every single vehicle I have asked about has been the exact same answer you gave. I made a solid offer and was declined. Was told the same story you did by a few locals about cars being there forever. Still a cool spot to visit!

@bomberbash depending on which brother is working. You'll get different answers. I had to get a rear end for a truck was told 3 different prices. Finally delt with the lady that was there and she got in to an argument with the guys saying how do you expect to make money when you never sell anything. Needless to say I got the rear end for 150. Haven't been back since.
