MICHIGAN Has THE MOST INSANE BACKUP RB in College Football (Meet Donovan Edwards)

Ойын-сауық

Coming out of high school, Donovan Edwards was listed as a 5 star recruit and the future of Michigan football. Last year, he was the most insane backup in college football and torched both Ohio State and Purdue in historic fashion. Today, I want to talk about his rise, his career so far and what makes him special, enjoy!

You forgot to mention his TD pass in the B1G Championship Game against Iowa!! I know a couple teams in the NFL that could easily build him into a rock steady universally agile RB. 1 being the Detroit Lions. Especially with the way they've been stock piling talent the past few seasons... Edwards is a true triple threat on the field and a silent leader. JJ McCarthy may be the QB, Blake Corum is the heart of the UofM offense. I think Corum will make the NFL, I think because of his size he'll be an elite special teams player on returns. Who knows though, like I said, "Corum is all heart!" Whatever the outcome for him, he'll give it everything he can and then some. You could see it later in the year when he tried a couple rushes in the OSU game. Lightning and Lightning they call themselves! GO BLUE!!

Both those two kids are so freaking good. Their football IQ is amazing. Their work ethic is top notch plus Michigan has one of the best training and nutrition staffs, with an amazing training facility one of the best in the country! The game Edwards dedicated his performance to Corum was nearly a tear jerker... They feed off each other and then they feed off of defenses! As the game wears on, their O-LINE and running schemes just annihilate teams!

, Picture this Donovan Edwards and Blake Korm lined up in a shotgun set and the ball snaps Donovan Edwards does a rub off the offensive line goes up 40 yards comes back on a curl route and tears **** up but what's gonna be crazy about that as well is you don't know if he's gonna go out for a pass or run it up the gut or mccarthy might hand the ball off to Blake then you gotta have to commit a man to each one plus they have to commit to JJ,,,,,,,,, Donovan's hands ain't broke this season he's gonna be catching some damn balls If he was in our wide receiver room he'd probably be damn near a starter no as a matter of fact he would be a starter that's how Elite Edwards is play quarterback in high school for a year or so running back and a little wide receiver the boy had just elite lot of room to grow gonna be amazing

Edwards is probably a little more explosive than Corum in terms of long runs. The difference is that Corum almost never gets stopped for 1 yard, where Edwards gets stopped a few times, then rips one off for what AVERAGES as a great yards per carry stat. A Corum run seems to almost always have him driving for at least 4-5 yards on every carry. That consistency is what sets him apart, but damn, Edwards is mighty fine too.

quorum rhymes with low center gravity power and choppy legs and is really elite at his cuts and can wreck people in front of him edwards is a little taller than quorum and doesn't really have them cuts that Blake has sure he's got some but not like Blake blake can get right up in your face to smell your breath and then cut on you but I've also seen him carry defenders 3 and four yards up the field and he also Something else that makes Blake Incredible is each patient and waits for his O line to do their work and open up a lane up very patient and elite he does a stutter step then goes idk great RB AND SMART

My hope is that Michigan puts both on the field in a power I, veer or even the wishbone to start all 12 games, the B1G Championship game and then the playoffs. They BOTH deserve to be full time starters all year. His performance against OSU was one for the ages and MIGHT BE THE second best OFFENSIVE PERFORMANCE against OSU behind only the Superb Tim Biakabituka. However HIS 216 yards rushing might be eclipsed by Tom Harmon. If you consider Tom’s stellar offensive performance only. But, if you add in DEFENSIVE and extra points, Harmon’s PERFORMANCE Harmon has the overall best performance against the Bucknuts ever and will never be equaled. In his final college game at Ohio State, Harmon completed 11 of 12 passes for 151 yards with two touchdowns, ran for 139 yards and two scores, kicked four extra points and intercepted three passes in a 40-0 rout of the Buckeyes. But I love “The Don!”

As a Michigan fan i watched the "The Big Game" or "The Game" this weekend and "The Don" is a Gamebreaker he has that extra gear once he hits that hole if you don't square up and bring him down because arm tackles are useless just ask Ohio St and Purdue its "Take it to the House!" Go Blue its time to fulfill all the hype and maximize the year to year talent Coach Harbaugh recruits to Ann Arbor every year!

As good as Michigan's run game is and the players running the ball are, their receivers often get overlooked. They averaged over eight yards per passing attempt, which was 24th best in the country, and they had their biggest games against their best competition - OSU and TCU in particular. Five of the top seven pass catchers from last year return and there is a lot of talent waiting in the wings as well. Oh, and the O-line is so deep their second string could start for many other Big Ten schools. This offense could be set to explode if J.J. can take that next step as QB1.

God I hope so! I wish they would've played TCU all 4 quarters. Michigan should've pounded TCU the same way Georgia did... Plus that TD UofM had that was overturned. They should've never left it in the hands of the refs, nor were the refs supposed to analyze the film for 1/2hr looking for a way to overturn it...smh GO BLUE!! The SEC needs to be knocked off the throne. Only Michigan and I absolutely hate saying this but Ohio State are the only 2 teams in the country that have the programs that can do it!

Donovan Edwards could start anywhere else. If Blake Corum had gone pro, as Harbaugh suggested, he would be the starter. Corum is an every down back but Edwards is so much more dangerous; he can run, throw, catch and change the game. If I took a player and it was Corum or Edwards, I would take Edwards because he is more versatile. Corum is a beast, I am a Michigan fan and I wasn’t sure he could be an every down back, but he is fantastic. No team will lose on either back but Edwards is scary good.

He's not fast enough to be a wide receiver and Doesn't have the power to be an effective RB in the NFL. His big run TDs would've been TDs in flag football. He's money when he can find a seem but just doesn't do much after contact and doesn't have the vision. I want him to prove me wrong. I think he should stay another year and show out.
