I think Moore and his new coaches were at a HUGE disadvantage with winning the national championship (that is having a long season) and then Harbaugh taking time off to explore his coaching options. This 2 month stretch or longer which doesn’t include losing assistants to the Chargers set back Moore and company in terms of assuring recruits what the coaching picture would look like. The DUIs and firings didn’t help either. I am shocked how well the recruiting has been for 2025 as well as the transfer portal. I think these are positives long term. Ohio State having a 2 month or more advantage is nothing to dismiss. Give them that edge and no one should be surprised that they are killing it on the recruiting side.
