Adulting level of making friends

Kurosanji really did a number on her trust issues. Her saying one day you're friends and the next you're enemies really said it all. I hope she can recover and be truly happy in Vshojo and be more comfortable with just talking and relaxing.

That's not just Kurosanji though, vast majority of people in the world are like that. Friendships are formed due to personal benefit, and if betraying someone is also a benefit - people do it. It's natural for humanity to turn on each other

I think if the world was more like Michi, I would welcome that degree of boring, I definitely can do without the drama over stupid, pointless stuff. Edit: It's not just a British thing, because I am definitely direct, and I'm not remotely British.

"I experienced nothing" Bruuuh! That is kind of a hot take, if you think about it. I have to say I disagree, but it's true that the vshojo crew is mostly composed by true veterans. It's kind of hard to compare Michi's career with someone as storied as Matara. But she'll get there, I'm pretty sure

It does feel weird to say Michi is the least experienced, but really I can’t think of anyone in Vshojo who has been in content creation less than she has.

It's just the pond she is in that made her feel that way. She is comparing with people who done it the majority of their life, longevity is important but also the intensity is equally important too. Casually streaming once per week for 10 years vs streaming 4-5 times per week for 2-3 years is not the same. So I agree with you that I also disagree with Michi's take. She's probably also just humble.

I don't think you understood truly what she's saying. She's not talking down about herself. She's realistic. She's saying that the experience she got was ephemeral. I don't think she's talking about her experience as a streamer, rather as a "Vtuber" and as a human. I think she's saying what ACTUAL vtubing is like isn't what she experienced. I won't go into too many details, but her old work place had a VERY sophomoric feel to it. Like there was no adult in the room. If what has been reported by multiple sources is to be believed, there were no real managers there to help them through their careers and any conflicts were mediated by the "favorites" and so were the opportunities. There are two major vtubers that got ALL the opportunities as they are objectively those with the most merch in the company. She's basically ending up with the conclusion that she's finally in an environment where she's been allowed to experience what she was missing the whole time. Indies know it, Hololivers know it, Phase Connect and Vshojo have it.

@@Jmt1000XD Not to get too deep into PL stuff, but i do think she's kinda talking about general life experience too (which you seemed to imply) - she may well be the youngest in VShojo (her or Henya i think?). Her previous workplace had a lot more members around her age (at least in EN), but they're the exception among vtuber agencies in that regard.

@@W3irdOtaku On a real note though, I feel like Zen is a very empathic person. She seems like she can read people and know who and when to troll, how to troll them and when to stop. Zen seems like she can really read the room and be emotional and mushy or lighten the mood.

Guys are usually more forthright, I think it has to do with social conditioning, i.e. Worthy men are true to their word, or a man's word is his bond, or a good man keeps his word, or a man is only as good as his word.

Never trust anybody who believes exactly what you believe. They are lying to you. Whether it's malicious or innocent is individual, but they are lying. Get two people in a room together and you'll have 7 different perspectives about everything. The question is are they brave and strong enough to admit it and are you brave and strong enough to listen to it, not just hear it.

@@knoathing Yeah, she's "Friend of VShojo" status atm but people have been speculating she'll join once the podcast with Matara finishes. Hololive would seem to better fit her idol dreams, but at this point idk if she wants to be anal about game permissions again.
