You're actually not wrong. She's ethnically Chinese, but born in Malaysia. Similar to how her costar from "Everything Everywhere All At Once", Ke Huy Quan is Chinese, but born in Vietnam. Ethnicity and nationality are NOT the same thing! Ethnicity: Chinese. Nationality: Malaysian. What about you? You are ethnicity Chinese, but born in America? Therefore, your ethnicity is Chinese and your nationality is American.
