I love that she did, cause honestly I did that with my ex, I was definitely the Alaska in the relationship and her saying that Alaska worried more about the partner being taken care of and forgot herself , I was like PREEEEACHHH MICHELLE !!! Too bad Michelle didn't follow her own advice. If she had listened to her own speech she would know that RuPaul's Drag Race was wrong to use trans slurs as comedy. THAT was the real problem and THAT was hating on the community. Carmen might have been too hard for coming for Ru in public platforms, but I'm sure that if Ru and everyone else took her complaint to heart and just admitted they were wrong, all of this would have been WAY more positive for the whole community, even as an example of self-improvement.

Faith Pon that’s where the RuPaul talk show reboot failed in my opinion. Michelle should’ve been featured more. I love the podcast because Ru and Michelle have equal opportunities to ask questions and then the way they feed off of each other is perfect. Don’t get me wrong now, they are both superstars and have both proven that they are capable of being successful in show business without the other but in the talk show/podcast setting they make the perfect team. The podcast doesn’t have the same magic when Michelle isn’t there with Ru.

She seems like she cares soooo much more about the gurls on the show more than Ru does. Is that just me? Feels odd to say that.

Honestly every time Michelle Visage opens her mouth I fall in love with her with every word she says. You can tell she is 100% genuine and she truly is such a beautiful person. I love everything that she does and has to say about our community. She has so much love and wisdom. If you haven't done it it yet listen to Rupaul's what's the tee with Michelle Visage and you get to hear a different side from her. A side that makes you feel loved and cared for I am so happy to have an ally like her. Love you!

It was a gimmick for Bowie. As much as I appreciate him as an artist. I can't commend him on adopting LGBT tropes as a coat and then taking it off. He didn't advocate for more respect and visibility for the community; he packaged and marketed it. nothing wrong with that but do something in return. Madonna did.

Thank you, Michelle. I am so glad that she said what she said about her being in the gay community even though she is straight. She is an ally, and has been for years and through being a verbose and strong advocate as a straight woman for gay rights, she has helped and shape the change that we all have today. There are straight men and women who fight daily for the gay community to have their rights and freedoms just like everyone else. I am glad she is shedding some light on that.

I think many people, including me, don't really like Michelle in the beginning when they starat watching drag race. I felt she was bitchy and mean, and just hated everybody and everyone. It took me a long while, but now that i've watched more than half the seasons, I learned to appreciate her so much more. I thjnk she's a great and very very intelligent person. She comes off as harsh because ... well I mean she IS a harsh person, but once you get to know her you know it's nothing mean and she wishes the best for everyone. She's so cool.

I think Carmen was right, using derogatory terms towards the trans community is wrong. Ru is a bit old-school, and feels the way she feels. Carmen, on her part, should have been more respectful. It was a teachable moment- Carmen should have treated as such instead of reading her. I think Michelle hit the nail on the head, infighting won't help anyone.

I think Carmen went about it the wrong way. I'm trans and as far as I'm concerned, RuPaul has done a great job listening to us when we ask him to change the language used on the show or to reconsider his stance on inviting trans women to the show. Like especially with a community that overlaps so much with us trans people, I think there's a diplomatic way to voice our concerns without attacking open minded allies for not realising certain things can be hurtful for us

Instead of digging his heels in over calls for him to change things, Ru has always taken a moment to step back and hear us and has shown he can put his money where his mouth is (getting rid of "you've got she-mail & inviting a post transition Gia Gunn back are 2 examples off the top of my head of Ru actually changing things for us). Compare that with mainstream society and I think Ru's efforts are worth appreciating even if there is a little room for improvement, it's still admirable more so if you consider his age.
