Neel Joshi Exactly. All reasonable objective fans don't hate Bron. We just want context. Were tired of the media burying the history of basketball, the alltime greats and yes his teammates. Most unbiased people say he's borderline top 5. But OH NO! His marks...I mean fans say he's the best ever because?...the media says so. Just because they preach this self serving narrative that doesnt mean you have to believe it.

Silo G You stop disrespecting Jordan's greatness by always trying to bring Kobe in to the narrative. Kobe's 08 ended with his team blowing a 21 point lead at home and then getting trounced by 39 in the series clinching next game! You Kobe fans in Jordan's clothing ain't fooling nobody. Keep that same energy you using to slander LeBron and apply it to Kobe because he ain't close to MJ either!

DA Blancaflor - no not streetball, like I said, highschool and college.. So competitive.. You win or lose and come tournament time it's win or go home. Lebron has had plenty of excuses... Against the Spurs, they were getting beat the a/c goes out... Nobody cramps but him and he's supposed to be some athletic freak in peak condition so he would know how to prevent cramps. Also the teams have physical trainers and doctors... Again funny how nobody else cramped except him so it couldn't of been that bad that other players weren't suffering from cramps

It was a moment of weakness, and it was revealing of his character. What he should have done was either A) Say nothing B) Say, "I did something stupid, it didnt impact my level of play, all credit to the Warriors."..but leave the damn cast off. Going up there with that stupid cast on, he's revealing his hyper sensitivity and showing that he feels like he needs to provide an excuse to shield himself from criticism...when in reality it will just invite more. He's too good to be doing stuff like this.

I just hate false narratives and deception portrayed by sport media regarding certain superstars. It's their job to post stuff to get people talking and debating but the damage they are doing is cringe-worthy. Casual fans and fanboys spread false narratives without doing any research or critical thinking for themselves. They've even resulted to tearing down other legends and HOFs because in their delusional mind it somehow exalts LeBron. Which it actually does more damage than good to LeBron's legacy. Certain sports media personalities really need to cut it out. Objectivity is the new "Hate" and that's sad. Pretty sure some fanboy will come along and swear I'm hating on LeBron when the dude is actually my favorite player in the League and has been for quite a while now lol. Sad.

dbstewart86 yes. I think LeBron would act a lot differently in SA. No petty Instagram posts, no telling and taunting after dunks, no excuses after loss etc. But a lot of positives tho.. less mins, playing off the ball, better defense, even more efficiency, lots of rest, can compete for a championship right away

  • @dbstewart86

    @dbstewart86

    6 жыл бұрын

adam7mma Therein lies the problem for him. LeBron generally does better with a stronger franchise in terms of leadership but his overwhelming desire for control constantly causes him to put himself at a disadvantage. That's why though some other spots are intriguing, i.e. Houston, Philly, NYC, LA if George goes too, SA would be the best for him in terms of winning. I wouldn't want LeBron to stunt the growth of promising developing players or cause them to develop bad habits as far as courting an unnecessary amount of attention goes which would probably happen in the case of Philly or LA. Houston concerns me a bit as well because he could for him to work there he'd have to trust the D'Antoni system and leave the ball handling largely to Paul and Harden. I think he'd be inclined to with Paul but Harden is a pseudo iso player so that presents a problem.

Pathetic excuse maker. Narcissists never give you a clean shot. They're never at fault, there's always a reason and you cannot pin them down. LB is classic. A player with a broken hand throws the ball off the backboard to himself and goes up and dunks hard with both hands. He ties his shoes at mid court, he carries his LV clutch into the arena all with no apparent problem, now he shows up at the press conference and gets everyone talking about his hand instead of the pathetic effort he put forth during the series. I don't know why people root so hard for him and make so many excuses for him. He makes enough for himself.

It's partly the media and NBA's fault, he was hailed as "the king" before he ever played a game. He's been coddled since he was 18 by the media and league and only enabled his narcissism and sense of entitlement. All he has to do is claim affluenza basically and the league goes with it lol... Don't get me wrong, he's a tremendous player and talent but his basketball character is severely flawed

ripdajacker23 yes, severely flawed, and covered up by blaming everyone else. He could have benefited greatly by playing a couple of years in college under a great iconic coach. He's done just fine anyway, but he would be better than 3-6 in finals and taking no responsibility for the losses.

kobe broke a finger and won a championship. He just wrapped his finger and didn't make an excuse. For LeBron to still have a chance of winning game 1 even in overtime and complain and show weakness. He soft and he's not a good leader. He was extremely passive. He also didn't say anything during the time of throwing off of the backboard and dunking. If Allen Iverson who was 6'0 160lbs soaking wet was able to get one game against kobe and shaq. Why couldn't LeBron? Because he is weak. LeBron has been out of goat conversation since 2011. And his hand was not broken and he also most definitely did that to himself. The rockets would have lost in 5 if Andre igudola was healthy.

He's the coach...well there have been player coaches...why the facade? Dude may be on ped's. Dude may be a drama major. But his basketball playing ability is the greatest we've ever seen. I'm a LeBron fan, but I hate when he tries to control the narrative. If you broke your hand after Game 1 you should have worn the cast after Games 1, 2, and 3. Why wait till after Game 4? LeBron claims he waited so the Warriors wouldn't know about the injury, but in reality it looks he's trying to absolve himself from any criticism about the Cavs getting swept. If the Cavs won 1 game, I doubt LeBron would have pulled this stunt.

He didn’t mention the injury after game 1 because if official word had gotten out that he broke his hand then he would’ve been put on the injury report, and he would’ve, ya know, not been able to play for the rest of the series. At which point the Cavs would’ve had a 0% chance to win without him on the floor, and the narrative would’ve been mischaracterized as him being “soft”, “weak” or “giving up”. I believe in objectivity and that is far from the kind of treatment allotted to LeBron. The conclusion of this would’ve been the same regardless of which route he took, and that’s the premise of the backlash that frustrates me. Do you want to burn him at the stakes for losing his cool at the end of a game and punching a whiteboard?? Go for it. However, I’d respond by saying that he’s still a human, and hindsight is always 20/20; especially by spectators of the sport who can’t even come close to approximating the emotion and intensity of that moment. He rarely has moments like them so I’m not going to crucify him for it. The standard he’s held to is asinine, even by the measure of an all time great, so either we need to bring the expectations down a few notches or everyone else needs to be held to the same standard as they qualify.

If it was broken, how did he use his right hand to sweep away any defender every time he drove to the basket while dribbling to the left. That is an offensive foul when anyone else does it. Maybe he "broke" it pushing off defenders.

The arrogance of these people to think that this man was putting a cast on because of what THEY would think. Blows my mind how these guys think this man is living his life for them in any way shape or form. It’s a fucking cast shut up folks.

To me I don’t think it’s an excuse, firstly u can see in game 3-4 he shoots lesser. If I’m lbj I wldnt want to expose the broken hand to affect the mood plus he also can’t step out because the cavs can’t do shyt without him

these commentators do not understand that Lebron was not content to just showing up to the Final, he really wanted and believed to win that Final. He did not need any narrative to gain compassion for just showing up to play the Finals. The cast was just prioritizing his health, long overdue since game 1, at the first available moment.

In the end the sad part of Lebrons Second time with the cavs is the fact that people commended Gsw for having the team that they had and won with rather than what cavs could have achieved.

I dont see the problem with Lebron doing this, its just like when the warriors lost in 2016, everyone and the media came out crying how Steph was injured, wasn't 100% and wasn't himself trying to make excuses for the unanimous MVP...

@Sannin Jae *My god you are really trying to defend Lebron "tooth & nail" aren't you. If his hand wasn't bothering him after games 1,2, & 3 press conference to the point he needed a wrap/band on it. Why the fuck would he bring it out after game 4 for a 10 - 20min press conference, if he didn't want it to be talked about* Doesn't make sense, if it was hurting that bad he should of had it on before game 2 when they were talking to him or after game 2. . . stop trying to defend him with all your heart. . He got swept. .. DEAL WITH IT!!

I never said Steph said anything about it. That's because the media was talking about it even prior to game 7 so he didn't need to.
