These are indeed fantastic tyres ,, ive had my Primacy 4 tyres for about 4 years , and there grip has remained the same as from new , they are now at the end of tread depth and need to be changed ,, But we have just had rainstorms here in England and they performed exceptionally . even when being so worn out . Unfortunately they are very expensive tyres here in the UK .. So ill be buying another brand , i just cant afford them anymore ,,, Uniroyal Rain 5 are my next tyres .. I agree and sympathise. I am just about to purchase my third full set and am loathe to try anything else as they are so good all round on my Volvo V70. But there is a distinct premium over the rest of the premium brands. I have about 30,000 miles and have 2.3mm left on them still. I can save about 150 pounds on a full set by going for Goodyear Efficient Grip but will probably just bite the billet and go for the Michelins. I did think about the Uniroyal Rainsport - quite a unique proposition. I wonder how you got on with them if you bought them?

No disrespect but the Uniroyal is not a very good tyre, drives really bad in the dry, lots of understeer, makes driving less fun. But in the rain it's actually really good as the name promises.

Had a set on our VW Touran since 2019 and roughly 60-80k kilometres later we've just installed a brand new set. Excellent tyre, sure pays off itself

Thank you for keeping your promises 2 years ago! Very informative, I'll get Primacy 4 as well. I have 1 question about the fuek consumption, did you observe any difference against the Pirelli tires?

Hi, did not collect data on this, but I assume since the Pirelli's were run flat and heavier tyres, they consumed more.

Excellent video! Can you rate their comfort and smoothness from 1 to 10 ? I have a set of Michelin Primacy XC ( made in Canada ) on my car. But they got all flat spots since I bought the car. so I need to replace them. I only found Michelin Primacy SUV ( made in Thailand) so I’m a little hesitant about their quality and how they compare to European or Canadian made Michelin. how do you rate your Thai Michelin?

Useful review Currently have pilot s4 but as expected a harsher ride than previous oem These or primacy 4 plus appear a good choice for a smother and quieter ride with little compromise

I m in Malaysia, for my mazda 3 2016 ive used xm2 Michelin, they have been on for 5 years, still good. Any suggestions on the difference of using the xm2+ vs the primacy 4st ? ...the difference in price in KL for 4 units is now rm 50 only.

How about 0.2 bar higher pressure in the front for more wear in the middle and less outside? Maybe it's a bit too warm in Singapore for these tires. How about a slightly harder compound (Continental, Dunlop)?

Thanks for the update. I have also had my Primacy 4 on my Honda Odyssey for over 2.5 years now and the thread is wearing a bit thin, so will change them in the next couple of weeks. There is a Primacy 4ST version, not sure if its an upgrade or not,

Hi, the ST version as far as I know is the same. The newest version of Primacy is Primacy4+. The tread depth is shallower, despite which the manufacturer claims similar longevity, because they use a different rubber composite.

did you end up getting the primacy 4+? i'm thinking of replacing my PS5 with those

im between the pilot sport 5, primacy 4 and 4+. Any ideas? Thank you

the biggest differences : the pilot sport 5 are better at dry and wet handling and braking , offer less comfort tho and higher noise levels . the the primacy 4+ a little less performance on wet and dry conditions . but have better comfort and lower noise levels .
